Did Tony's in MK serve breakfast in the 1980's?

I'm trying to piece together some memories from a 1989 trip when I was only 9. I think I remember eating breakfast at the MK and it seemed like a restaurant like Tony's. Am I totally off here? I know Tony's only does a Grand Gathering breakfast now....

Yes! Tony's did serve breakfast. And it was fabulous. We went again in 1990 and I'm almost positive they still had it then, but when we returned in 1996, much to our dismay, it was no longer served. We STILL miss it! :sad2:

Yes, they used to serve breakfast daily. Now the only breakfast served there is a Grand Gathering event (you must have at least 8 people over 3 years old to register as a Grand Gathering).

Could you get in before the park opened? I don't remember that being the case, but it seems like breakfast hours would have been rather short most times of the year.

We used to love the breakfast at Tony's. They did take over the character breakfast while the Crystal Palace was being redone, but The originall breakfast was the best. A lot of retaurants that used to serve breakfast in the parks no longer do.

I can't remember if we did or not, but I feel like maybe it opened before the park? Only because, knowing us, we would have a hard time waiting until 9 to eat breakfast. We tend to be early risers/eaters.

Yeah, I think we had the original breakfast as there were no characters. I remember it was good and a great way to wake up slowly!

Tony's for breakfast used to be a requirement on our visits to the MK. Nothing like enjoying a casual breakfast at Tony's, watching the early morning crowds surge up Main Street.
I remember it as being usually fairly full, so never fully understood why they decided to close it.
