Did this bother anyone else watching the Grammys?

When Nelle and that Kelly from Destinys Child were singing they had those pyrotechnics going on in the background. I thought it was kind of tasteless to have the background of the stage look like it was on fire. It had a very eerie resemblance to the video of the RI nightclub burning that the news kept showing. My husband and I both thought the same thing when we saw it.

Also, who was the strange guy that said "I hope we are all in AGREE-ANCE that we want the war to stop"?? I wasn't aware that the war had started...

I'm so glad I don't think for myself anymore and that I can rely on celebrities to tell me how to feel about politics and foreign policy. They fairly ooze with their superior intelligence and capacity for logical thought. We should all emulate them in every way possible.

We all have opinions. The difference is the average person doesn't have free access to the media. Did he really say "agree-ance"?????? I'm embarrassed for some of these people.

I know. I was literally shouting at the TV "The word is agreeMENT!!!" He just looked incredibly stupid. Why would ANYONE think ANYTHING he has to say is important?

My dh and I were in complete agree-ance that the flaming background was a little spooky. Thought that maybe they should have rethought that one. But, obviously, the superior intellects at work here didn't see it that way. Agree-ance....where do these people go to school? Aren't their teachers mortified??

I wanted say I'm am in complete agreeance with everyone here
My understanding is the pyro was scaled back for the awards presentation last night(out of respect for the victims and families of the RI club). How one determines just how much scaling back is appropriate is for a show business mind far superior to mine.
