ok - I admit - I was running to an errand when I heard just a few words on tv. I missed the story -- did they find her remains? Is that what I heard?

Oh I hope so -- for the sake of her poor, poor parents. I hope so. I hope this would give them peace and closure.

edited to add: hadn't the aruban gov stated that they could not file charges without a body?

A couple took pictures while scuba diving. In one of the pictures, there is what appears to be a human skeleton surrounded by rocks. No one is sure what it is. Authorities need to go to the location to check it out. It could be a human skeleton or it could be just an illusion caused by rocks and such.

No.

Here is the story. A couple was in Aruba, were snorkeling and took some underwater photos. They came home, looked at the pictures and saw what they thought looked like a skeleton.

The supposed skeleton really could be rocks, coral, etc. They have turned the info over to the authorities. Maybe they're investigating, maybe they are not.

The picture has been published. I've seen it on another web site.

oh.......thanks. I hope the right people go (FBI, etc) I guess if it were someone not to be trusted, they could move it or say it wasn't there.

Anyone know how long it will take for someone to check that out?

I am actually saddened in a way that this made public TV. These poor parents have their hopes up and what if it is like you said, just a rock? Honestly, I think nothing should have been mentioned (publicly, but taken to FBI or the right authorities) until they knew for sure what is in the water.

that's what i thought... the human mind is wired to reconize things like faces and skulls.... though there is a great chance it could be the body.. theres a bigger chance it's just some rock... imo i thought it looked like rock...

I have to agree. And who knows if the Aruban governmant would allow any authorities to go look -- I don't trust them at all. They have been in on the cover up all along (my opinion)

Somebody had a thread going here earlier today that had the actual picture in it. You may find it if you page through. That poor family. What a nightmare.

I found the thread on page three but I am not sure of how to add it in here as a link.

Oh I'm sorry to have started a new one -- I looked before I started and didn't see "natalie" in any of the thread names. My fault!

No big deal. I just thought you would find it interesting and it had a lot of the information you were looking for. I was kind of amazed that a lot of people were saying they can't see it. To me it's clear as day. Can you see it in the lower left of the picture?

I can totally see it -- actually, I didn't see the snake at first! I hope for Natalie's parents sake, it doesn't take long to tell them either it IS or ISN'T a skull -- I know they would have to test for DNA to see if it was her but I have no idea how long that takes.

I can't imagine being her mother or father and just having to wait and wait and wait while hearing all of this on the tv news.

If they have just a skull there isn't anything there they can check for DNA, but they can compare the teeth to dental records which probably wouldn't take as long as DNA. Of course there isn't any indication yet that there actually IS a skull.

I saw the article and picture too. I don't know what to make of it. I wish the parents and authorities could've been notified before it hit the news, like pps stated.
