My wife, daughter (14) and I did the Zipline Safari today and it was amazing. This is something you should definitely add to your must-do list. The place is located about 40 miles from Disney and is very easy to find. You just travel east on 192 through Kissimmee, St. Cloud and Harmony and then make one right turn on Holopaw Road and the place is about 8 miles down on the left.
The tour costs $85 per person and is for ages 10 and up. Weight minimum is 70 pounds. Weight maximum is 275 and they do weigh each and every person before sending you out so don't bother going if you are over the limit.
The property is 4700 acres encompassing a 1500 acre working ranch with 800 head of cattle and horses and a 3200 acre conservation preserve. They have a petting zoo, some exotic animals to see, lots of gators and more. They drive you out to the zipline course on an open-air elevated Jeep thing. Then they get you all rigged up with your harness and helmet and explain the process and you take a short walk to the course.
There are a total of 7 ziplines, 2 stair towers and 2 suspension bridges. The highest tower is 55 feet up. The longest runs are 750 feet long. And you have the potential of reaching a speed of 35mph.
It was a lot of fun. Everyone in our group did a great job. DD was the youngest in our group. The oldest was a group of 3 women that we're guessing were about 60. The guides, Skip and Stephanie, were excellent and a lot of fun.
We would most definitely recommend this for all of you looking for something different to do on your next Disney trip.
