Did the Wilderness Lodge Pool Reopen Today?

I read on another thread that it was delayed until 12/3. I'm on my phone so I can't copy the link but it's on the large WL thread on the resorts board.

We're at VWL now, the pool isn't reopened yet. It looks like the pool area is basically finished,they took down most of the construction walls this morning and took them away. The splash area is still under construction and it looks like that's going to take a bit longer. I asked at the front desk today and they said the rainy weather earlier this week delayed everything. She said they don't have an exact date for reopening but it will not be this weekend.

The main pool reopened on or Around 12/2. The new splash area was still under construction but nearing completion.

Anyone know what they did to update the pool. Was it a redesign or just refurb?

My sister is at WL right now and she said the splash area is open but one of the hot tubs is still under construction.

When we were at WDW in early December we stopped by WL to see the holiday decorations and check out the construction of the pool.

Very, very disappointed that they took the pool down to the dirt and didn't put a zero entry in...what the heck???? They did put a fence around it, the hot tubs and the splash area.

No zero entry? That is disappointing, maybe they want the little kids to stay in the splash area? Did they have a splash area before?

No splash pad before...just a 2 foot deep round concrete pool for kids. So the splash area is a big improvement. It looks smaller than the one at GF or CBR.
