I booked the room only discount over free dining because it makes more sense for our family. We are not fans of the dining plan, and only make short three or four night trips at least once a year. My main reason though is the cancellation policy, DH is an ER doc and we don't have firm confirmation of his schedule until usually the end of the month prior (in this case end of October for November), meaning I'd be within the 45 day window to cancel without penalty. Since we are planning Nov. 22-25, I was glad to get a discount at all. If we purchase three day tickets we would about break even with free dining, but if we go with two days we're better off taking the room only savings and applying it toward meals. By my calculation, the room only is costing us 907.86, the package with two day hoppers is 2134.86. Tickets are 847.76 (4 2 day hoppers). Savings would be 429.24. We normally share meals so I think that three TS and 2 CS would be less than that $430. Regardless, the 45 day cancellation is the deal breaker for us, especially with one in HS and one in MS.
