Did the Discounts Make the Difference?

Just wondering how many people booked a NEW reservation this weekend or today because of the recent discounts offered?

We were going to go anyway. Actually incredibly cheap airfare made us bump our trip up from Feb 2010 to Nov 2009. I initially landed a AAA rate at POR. With the FD offer I decided to change it to a package and take the FD.

We were already booked and just added the free dining. We may add an extra night to or ressie to be in the hotel a day early.

We upgraded the first day of our trip from POR to the Poly. We already were staying Poly CL for the other six nights. Easier to switch rooms/move luggage that way.

I haven't booked yet, but I am hoping too.
I have been hoping to for several months, and even though the discounts released for the end of the year are great, I am still waiting on a combo of things.
1) My Gift Card for AP referral cards to come in the mail
2) Finding out military stuff for DH (we're in ROTC limbo at the moment, it's real fun!)
3) Our overall financial situation. We will probably have the money to go, but we also probably should save it for future endeavors.

Booked the 4/3 deal and with the FD deal it was $300 more and 1 more night, jumped on that, had too really as my job stopped all vac in the summer months. SO we are now going in Sept with FD and MNSSHP!!!!!

We had already made reservations, but I made those reservations banking on the free dining. Thankfully it paid off. and I was able to get it for my friends also.

We were already booked for a Grand Gathering Thanksgiving week and just saved almost $1000 with the free dining offer!

We were already booked and applied the FD discount. I would've had to either cancel or change dates if a discount didn't come out though.

None of the poll choices applied to me.
I was already booked under 40% off pin. Free dining actually cost more than my reservation. I upgraded to Moderate from Value using my 40% off Pin instead.

we already had/have FD for Dec (12/17-27) but needed to change to room only as our arrival date is now the 18th...however, the room only discount ending on the 24th hurts. Looks like we may do room only at the Dolphin...gives us price and flexibility and a fabulous place to stay! I guess in our case, the current discounts still don't work out best for us, but bet they will help a lot of folks out which is awesome!We MAY do a split stay..not sure, but if we do, will use the room only code for December.

We were able to upgrade from a campsite to a cabin because of the AP discount rate. (I was worried that we would not be able to go at all without some type of code.)

None of the poll options applies to us. We already had a week booked off-site and have now changed that to an off-site/on-site trip because of the room only discount.

I was actually hoping for a good room discount, but it looks like the room discounts this year isn't as great as it was last year. So, we're going with Free Dining instead. Never done FD before. I like the idea of not worrying about our meals and the expediture which comes with it. But having to make all those ADRs... And planning around them... I hope this works out well for us!

We were alrady going and had the DP booked, but were able to stay onsite reather than offsite on our arrival day due to FD. I couldn't justify the room rate and the DP for that one night since we will be arriving at about 6pm. We had a DTD hotel booked, but canceled it and added a day onsite.

Being in the Auto Industry the Discounts (Free Dining) made the difference for us.

I booked our trip in January with the 40% room code. We are staying at POFQ with a Grand Gathering. Free Dining in Dec. saved us over $100. Can't wait!
