Did the BCV get new mattress' this year?

Have a question, happened to be at the BCV last year when they had their annual meeting, so went to it. One of the items on the agenda was the BCV getting new mattress' in 2006. Did this happen? Just curious...........

Some people have reported that their rooms did receive the new mattresses. However, we stayed in a 2BR a couple of weeks ago that still had the old ones. I could feel the wire on the edges of the mattress everytime I got in and out of bed. Room 354.

I was at BCV in July and saw them delivering new ones to a nearby room-- but my room sure had the old ones. The pullout was as awful as always and DH (who slept with my son in the queen) said even the "real bed" kinda sucked. I think I had it best -- I brought an Aerobed twin!

Stayed the first week of Nov. Pull-out sofa had terrible old mattress...if the queen we slept in was new; they need to get their money back. I'm betting it was still the old one.

I find it extremely annoying that this is the SECOND time I can remember them announcing "new bedding" and yet reports from the trenches indicate there is no such thing! A year or two back they were announcing the "new style" of pullout couches - -supposedly very comfortable -- was going in all over DVC... Yet in all the rooms I have stayed in, I have never so much as SEEN one of the new style.

What is going on with the beds at DVC and especially at BCV?

Unfortunately, at an annual meeting 2 years ago, they also announced coffee tables going into the studios at BWV and to the best of my knowledge that hasn't happened yet either. I'm very discouraged by those annual meeting announcements of upgrades at Villas.
So I wasn't at all surprised in September when my studio at BCV still had the old style sofa bed (very grimy, too) and matress on the regular bed. I've never complained about a housekeeping/maintenance issue until this stay.

For our trip in January, I'm thinking of bringing two aerobed's! One for the sofabed & one for the regular bed!

Thanks Bobbi for confirming that BWV does not have coffee tables! We stayed in a studio for 2 nights after MC2006 and I thought it strange there was no coffee table. I think we even called housekeeping

We did however have the new sofa bed at BWV and after spending 1 night before the cruise sleeping sideways on the old BCV sofa bed, my friend was extremely happy

I agree the upgrades have taken entirely too long. Now that I think about it, our BCV studio did have a DVD player in it, but no bedding upgrades
At least while you lay awake at night you can watch a movie!

LOL, I noticed that DVD player too and thought to myself "hmmm, I'd rather have a more comfortable bed".

I can't recall now, was it the Summer Vacation Magic that officially announced the new BCV bedding? If so the time lag is getting a little excessive for sure.

The one bedroom I slept on in Aug was pretty good. I sure thought it was a new mattress.
