Hi so I volunteered on the wrong day, when I first signed my date was in march but then I forgot I had something I had to do, so I changed for what I what I thought was feb 21 but I must have picked feb 28 with out relalizing it, so I went on the 21st. they didn't have a list you had to hand a form in and it didn't have the date on it you had to write it in. So I just emailed them to see if I still get credit, I hope so.

I know you're disappointed, but I think you should go back and read what you just posted. If it were me, I'd delete it before anyone else sees it.

You were dissappointed because you volunteered on the wrong day??? Wow! So if you were not getting a ticket you would not have volunteered? I know the free ticket is a plus for people, but you post sounds like you don't care about helping others. Volunteer both days. You won't get the ticket for both days but you will feel good about helping others.

I think it's a great thing Disney is doing with the promotion, but some of the posts I've seen here about people only volunteering to get the ticket bothers me. I'm not saying the OP is one of those people, but I have seen some who clearly aren't helping out of the goodness of their hearts. :(

OP - you really should show up on the 28th even though you made an error. Some places rely heavily on their volunteers.

I did a similar thing... I coordinated my volunteer date through e-mail with the event director but didn't go back to the website to enter what date I was planning to volunteer until after I had already volunteered and it wouldn't let me put a date in the past. I resigned up for the next weekend and then went and volunteered again. It was actually great volunteering the second time because I had a routine down for the work we were doing and I was able to be a lot more productive. I can't wait to go back!! I know this isn't an option for everyone though, like those who already have plans or have to travel far to get to their opportunity.

sorry that sounded wrong i'm not sorry that I volunteered i think it was a great thing but it was not that kind of volunteering, that can just show up again the date is for the drop off .we did sort of a fund rasier for new items for forster children and I asked if they did this all the time I would do it again in a heart beat, but they are only doing to for the give a day promotion. and to get more items together by sunday would be almost impossible. I love to volunteer I do it all the time special olympics, cancer walks at my childrens school for various things and on. but you know there are a lot of people who do not and are just doing it for the free tickets. i was upset and just wanted let it out a little and thought some one here would under stand but lately everyone here seems so critical of every one else. i think we all forgot that we come to this cite becasue of our love for disney.

I hope you get credit. You did the work and it was an unfortunate mistake. Keeping my fingers crossed.

i got an email today from the coodinator and she said I was not the only one who did that and they were honoring every ones hard work so thats a good thing.
