Hello Twilightaholics! So, as you ladies now, I was away for 10 days in Portland, OR visiting my brother. But, in between that, I snuck in a Twitastic trip, a dream for any Twilight fan, and went to the View Point Inn in Oregon and Forks, WA the Twilight capitol. I'm back now after some LONG flights and LONG drives, so it's time for the report! WELCOME!

Ok, here we go! The first day of my Twilight adventures I went to two places where they filmed Twilight in Portland. First off, we went on our search of the View Point Inn where the prom scene from the end of the movie was filmed.

:rotfl: Nah, just kidding. XD

When we stopped for some view pics, we could see the inn at a distance.

We finally got there...

...and, as you can see, I was VERY excited. This is soil RPattz and KStew have walked on!

You could walk out into the back yard where pretty much the whole entrance to the prom and ending of the film was filmed. They also have their Twilight Walk of Fame, where people have brought bricks. Our own BBG has one!

They had a lot of cool bricks, including one for Rob! I've been debating about buying one for Bella/KStew, they really don't get enough love.

They also have an actual prop from the movie there! Something RPattz possibly touched!

They have a nice message inside the inn too. No words could be truer...

They also had a lot of pics of the cast when they were filming there.

How fun! I'm in Seattle ride now but my dad is taking me to Forks tomorrow. It'll be a nice motorcycle ride in this weather :) I can't believe I can say i've actually been there!

hey CP. marking my spot so I can come back later to see the pics (can't see them from work) :goodvibes

Great pictures, it's so beautiful in the Pacific Northwest. Hopefully someday I'll get up there and see it for myself.

Did you find the Inn to be much smaller than expected? It looked so much bigger to me in the movie than in person. I wish I'd gone inside but there was a wedding the day we visited. I'm so glad you were able to get lots of pics! :thumbsup2

Thanks for posting your pictures - they are great.

My DD is a BIG Twilight fan too - I am going to let her know about your Twilight Trip Report. She turns 12 in 3 weeks so we were recently talking about birthdays. I told her since she turns 13 next year - an official teenager! - we should take a little trip. When I asked her where she wanted to go she responded "Forks, Washington!".

So...that same day we decided to make another Twilight stop since the place was nearby. I'm talking about Multnomah Falls, these beautiful falls were a few scenes from the movie were filmed. Mostly you see them in the background a lot, but there is one scene that was filmed there and was deleted and is still on the cutting room floor. This one:

I've been here every time I've been to Oregon because they're absolutely breathtaking. We were to tired to hike our way to the top this day, so we just took a lot of pics.

And that was the end of day 1 in our Twilight adventures. But don't worry, Forks WA is up ahead!

Ok, here we go again. On Thursday July 23rd, we got ready for hour 4 hour drive to Forks. We were supposed to be leaving around 7 or 8am, but of course, everyone got up late and we ended up leaving at 9. We would've gotten to Forks much earlier than we did if we hadn't made so many stops, but well, we had kids with us and that meant many bathroom breaks and a stop to look around the Great Wolf Lodge. We got to Forks around 3:30 pm. Our first stop? We we were speding the night of course, the Forks Motel.

We made a reservation for a kitchen suite many months in advance, which was very good because there was no vacancy anywhere. It was very spacious and very cheap, it was also literally next to Forks High School, so we could just walk out the door and go there. So obviously, that's the first place we went to.

We were starving by then, so we went right to the Forks Coffee Shop to have some late lunch. It was a nice place with very good food.

After that, we headed down to the Chamber of Comerce to get info and a map for all the places to go. The lady working there was incredibly nice and we talked for quite a bit about Twilight. I signed the guest book and took a look at the map to see where people had come from. They've come from pretty much all over except Iceland. I thought I was the first from Puerto Rico, I was actually the seventh! :scared1: The Chamber of Commerce is also a great picture place, they have Bella's truck and a lot of other things!

La Push is about 15 minutes away, so we decided to head down there since it was still sunny outside. Well, that didn't last for long, as we were approaching Third Beach the weather totally changed, it became cold, foggy and eerie.

That's THE First Beach. It was soooo creepy and yet incredibly beautiful. It's probably the weirdest beach I've been to in my life.

BTW, it was freezing in both Forks and La Push during both days we were there. Somewhere around the 50s or 40s.

More to come!

Great pics!

I have just disovered Twilight (just read the book and saw the movie for the first time last week!...am reading New Moon right now), and enjoyed looking at these! :D
