Did Polynesian just move to 50 minimum contract?

i thought that I had read that Disney just changed the minimum purchase of point at the Polynesian for existing DVC members from 25 to 50 points. I've been on a waitlist for a month for a 25 point contract at either BLT or OKW but the Polynesian was my fallback if nothing was available by November 29. I also wonder how long the other resorts will have a 25 point minimum? I'm waiting to hear back from my DVC agent but I'm not expecting good news.​

There were new direct incentives for CCV and PVB released a couple of days ago. The site that I saw that on that keeps a list of current pricing, etc did not change the pt minimums. Sorry...I'm never sure what we can or can't link.

Also, might want to check with your guide about the Poly Dec UY. After reading another thread about how an entire unit has the same UY, etc and the fact that Poly is predicted to sell out in Jan, a Dec UY at Poly may not be a guaranteed option either. Maybe be prepared to take anything with a Dec UY if those 25 points are so important to you. For me, it wouldn't be.

Based on my reading, yes, Poly minimum went to 50, matching Aulani and CCV.

You can just post anyway. If it gets hidden, so be it. Not a big deal.

I doubt the minimum has changed but then again, I'm surprised they didn't change it with the 4/4/16 announcement considering the inexpensive workaround to the restriction.

EDIT: The minimum is 50 for *financing* thru DVC. That may be what you read.

That could be it. I get so many Disney related postings on Facebook, where I saw the posting about the 50 point minimum, that I can't remember which DVC Facebook group posted it. There are various reasons why I would like to buy the 25 points direct for the perks by the end of November, not the least reason being that our family has a Christmas trip to Disneyworld starting December 20 and would like the AP discount then, as well as using the Epcot DVC lounge. If I don't get the points by then, it won't be the end of the world.

I thought that I had read the Facebook posting correctly. I talked to my DVC telesales agent and he said that the minimum for Poly was still 25 points. I think that I'll call DVC's sales main office Monday morning and try to get a definitive answer. I'd prefer BLT and would check to see where I am on the waitlist.

Both my agent and a DVC representative that I just talked to said Polynesian points were still at 25points minimum for existing owners.
