"Did Pluto Just Give You A Lap Dance?" 10 days of Naughty & Nice!

Day 4 Evening/ Day 5 Morning: Welcome to La ShatHole -
In faux French does it sound better? Wee or NoFriggin chance?

We arrived at OKW to get into our room finally after midnight and it was in the ghetto of OKW. Minus drive by's we had it all.
:sad2:
The place was so bad in fact that when I got home - I sent an e-mail with pics to DVC and got 100% of my points back. :thumbsup2 That should tell ya I was not "Movin On Up to the East Side."
images
:snooty:

I was in more of the Good Times and JayJay Walker projects. :laundy:
images

We were in a building (39) that backed up to the Disney Freeway :drive::car: and the sound of honking and cars and trucks does not compare to other locals here. :listen:

In my life I have never complained about the exact location we were given - from now on I will insist on being moved. Even if the only other opening is the castle! I love OKW and was horrified that if this was the first impression I had of it - I would not ever be back. It really made me sad and sick.

The hilarity of the fact we were stayed off from our room for 42 days and nights because it needed to be cleaned was a crock of cr@p. Clean carpets were not found. :3dglasses In fact besides some surface level things - it was down right nasty let alone a place that books at $500 plus a night. It did have a pair of Swans making out. Nice touch but I would prefer a clean toilet to bird fockers.
00000051.jpg

I will post some pics and you will understand my not happy face.:headache:

The full atrocity was not gathered till the next morning and here would be where I just said - let's go - have a great day and I will explode about this later. I so wanted to have a great time with the kids and venting about the room was not on today’s agenda for a long period of time.

I simply told them that Mama is going to king fu the room witch and then everything will be all better. :rolleyes1

00000058-1.jpg
Some nice mold to add to the outside deck decor! Ambiance I tell ya!

00000064-1.jpg
Some nice mold to add to the studio (kids room) window well.

00000065-1.jpg

Can you tell me when this was dusted last?

00000071-1.jpg

How bout dusting the air exchange system Madge?

00000070-1.jpg

00000074-1.jpg

00000069-1.jpg

I am not sure you can see this but the outside light fixtures were full of bugs.

00000067-1.jpg

This would be the freshly cleaned carpets. Pieces strung out everywhere and there was a milk spill that I can't find.

00000060-1.jpg

This was the awning over our front window. Does not speak impressively to guests I would say.

00000062-1.jpg

More dripping mold on our building #.

Baylor of course - could not be bothered with the details of a nasty room. He had breakfast to chow down on and nobody better keep him from breakfast.

00000052.jpg

I called housekeeping and talked with a supervisor who assured me the issues would be addressed while I was gone. I assured her that they better be because if my son who had open wounds, gets an infection from mold - I would be the new owner of Dawn Dynasty. The 5th land to open at WDW.

I really am a nice person but after the load of run around we were given about the room - I was beyond livid.

They tried to say that the mold was from the humid and hot conditions. Yeah well chickpea this is December and I do not believe it had been cleaned anytime recently and the other buildings - on the other side of the tracks - well they did not have mold all over outside. Nobody puts Baby in the moldy, ghetto, trailer trash, under the bridge livin, projects on her trip!

So chop chop, wikki wikki and I appreciate you understanding my concern. :cool2:

I will update Sea World Day next...took a lot of room up for pics here and now that one has plenty more!

Ugh, that is so disgusting!!! :scared1: I'm glad you got your points back though.

I like the "kung fu the room witch" part though, that totally made me crack up... I had a mental image of Pao (from Kung Fu Panda) whooping Ursula the sea witch's bootay :rotfl: Anyways, I think I'll go and read the rest of your trip report from page 1. I was petting my rabbit and he suddenly jumped on the keyboard, and your page popped up... weird isn't it?

Me too.

I hope you like it and I love your name!!!

Ohhh that is just disgusting and I so feel for you guys. We had some similar issues on our Sept. 2007 trip to Port Orleans Riverside!!! So sorry you had to deal with all that!!!!!

Looking forward to reading about your next adventure...Sea World!!

All I can say is wow! Would you believe that I found this page when searching for MVMCP photos? Thanks to the title it drew my attention and got me to read through the PTR and the full TR. Thanks for filling up a few hours of my life and getting my wife to wonder what I've been doing the last three hours since we put the boy to bed! :lmao:

You write a good report complete with humor that my own family would be creating out and about. From reading through from the beginning, its been definitely an emotional ride and like all the others, I'd say you're doing a great job as a parent and mom taking care and raising some soon to be successful adults. You just have me wondering if I can manage the same as my son gets older. And all the fun photos you have of the family is making me wonder if we ought to add a few more family members to the mix. Granted, not all at once if that can be helped. :rotfl2:

You've even got me wondering if I can manage to put together a trip report for an upcoming December trip. Your photos helped me decide to surprise my wife with MVMCP. :thumbsup2

That was pure nastiness, I have never seen anything like that on Disney property, I think you were placed in the room that Disney forgot about. I'm gladd you got your points back. I know it's nice that Disney likes to accomodate but still it would have been nicer had you just been given a clean room in a timely matter.
With that being said, I am glad that Baylor enjoyed his breakfast.
I'm off to dust the corners of my house. I am leaving the spider webs up for Halloween though.

We are hopefully stayong at PORS in December - it better not duplicate this stay!
Looking forward to reading about your next adventure...Sea World!!
I will get that done this morning!

You are a speed reader and a man who spent all night with me? Should we share a cigarette? :smokin: Or is this where we part and just say - it's been nice but we can't let it happen again - no matter what the attraction is between us. :lmao:

*dissclaimer - I don't smoke - never have but it sounds sexy in the Bond movies!

Hope you stay for the duration or I will feel like a cheap hussie!

Anyone who wants to be a great parent can be. You just need to hold them accountable - laugh a lot and talk. And listen and look with both eyes open!

Usually after a torrid affair like ours - she wants jewelry and new ::yes::::yes::. You might get lucky though and find you are married to a woman who wants a castle! princess:

They cleaned the mold in the inside when we got back from Sea World that day but that was it. No dusting and the air vents were still dirt filled.
With that being said, I am glad that Baylor enjoyed his breakfast.

That is pure sexy right there! You are thoughtful to do so for your family and I bet they will think you were just slippin on the cleaning! :rotfl2:

Day 5 - Stop Mounting That Whale!

Ahhhh.... Sea World. I love Sea World. I know that it is not Disney but I am an animal lover through and through and if I did not officially suck at science - I would have loved to been a marine oceanographer/scientist person.

Obsessed with sharks and all thing in the sea so Sea World is heaven.

We left on time that morning after I put away my black belt and the funniest old guy was directing us into our parking area. He looked like he should be directing us to the shuffle board court. Happy as heck to be doing his job and proud of his knock knees and yellow slicker. I just wanted to hug him and kiss him and call him George.

The entrance had a mongo tree all filled with shades of blue. It was the tackiest thing I have ever seen. It reminded me of what Ariel must have had for a Christmas tree.
00000053.jpg

We then moseyed inside and went to see the nursery and touched some sting rays and baby sharks. I am such a little kid when it comes to this stuff. I could be there all day just watching the little suckers.

We knew we wanted to feed the dolphins and that was #1 priority for our hard earned dollars to be spent on. Nothing says money like smelt! We went up to the greeter guy who explained we were too early to be in the queuing area for the first feed. He said we should go look at the dolphins and manatees and then come back. I said that was not a problem as long as we were guaranteed a spot in line. He asked if I was kidding - I assured him I was not.

We decided to check out the other attractions and be back in line 20 minutes before opening. you see they only allow like 20 people through about 4 times a day to feed the dolphins. I was not going to be excluded and our itinerary had us across the park for the rest of the day.

We checked out the dolphins first and they were amazing to see. I again, could spend my life with them each day and never get sick of them. They are the kids favorites as well and I know I need to get a second mortgage out sometime to hit Discovery Cove.

00000057.jpg

00000054.jpg

Two of my non aquatic favorite animals!

I think the manatees are really cute in a pudgy walrousy sort of way. I have never seen one in the wild but am always fascinated at their plight against boats and how many of them are rescued by Sea World each year. They are always so docile looking and funny as heck to watch when they eat. Their bodies are so huge it amazes me how they get the cabbage/lettuce to their mouths with their little flippers. I suppose it's no difference than a big woman at a buffet. If there is a will there is a way.
00000065.jpg

00000063.jpg

The boys watching...
00000066.jpg

00000069.jpg
Strike a pose...

00000070.jpg
- Ok maybe not hairy pit man.

We then chucked back to wait in the line that had formed and we had one to many in our party for their numbers. I think the look I gave "Stan" said he would have one less of his "boys" at the end of his shift if we did not get in. :rolleyes1

After we got our fish and waited for our turn - the kids were excited. So much so that a potpourri of smelt ooze was sprinkled about. I gave the same look of nut loss to them as I had given Stan and amazingly they complied and stood with their fishies like good boys!

The dolphins really gave a great show that day and came up to you when you had no fish.

00000087.jpg

00000085.jpg

00000088.jpg

I asked Carsyn why she was not in the pics and was reminded that again - she was busy taking them. I think she regrets not getting any of herself and so do I.

After that was done we went to the otter show with Clyde and Seymour. It has not changed a bit in many years but still is quite funny. The mime in the beginning is the best part IMO. Anyone who makes fun of people is awesome in my book! I guess that's why I like the otter as well!
00000025-1.jpg

00000017-1.jpg

I know how dogs greet a human but I had no idea about seals!

00000021-1.jpg

After the show we spotted some seals just hanging about. Smelly and beautiful - just like my sons!

00000012-1.jpg

Awwww...

00000006-1.jpg

We hit the dolphin show with loads of acrobatics. I liked it but you lost the fact it was a dolphin show anymore. It seemed you spent most of your time looking up at amazing aerial shots versus the water. Literally I took like 40 pics of his show and mostly of people dressed like Tucan Sam.

00000090.jpg

00000105.jpg

00000112.jpg

After that we headed over to see Shamu and the kids decided it would be funny to shoot a video for "Ridin Dirty."

00000035-1.jpg

00000036-1.jpg

00000033-1.jpg

00000034-1.jpg

They had an audience of normal people just wanting to get a normal picture with their normal behaved children. I explained we had just adopted them from Siberia and they had never seen people or fake animals before. In their country they ride real animals like this so they were fearless.

One lady behind me actually nodded like she understood and muttered "poor kids."

Hi all - again I wanted to say I am sorry for the humongo pics that cause you to scroll side to side while reading. I hate that as well but I timed it - and each picture on photobucket takes almost a minute to resize. That is 25 minutes per post I would spend just adjusting pics.

So unless someone has a way to adjust them all at once - I can't get the pics smaller to post right now. I want to finish this report in the next few weeks and start my PTR for this DEC!

Sorry and I hope you will all stay with me anyway! :worship:

Definitely worth going. :thumbsup2 All food & drinks are included so there are no other charges after the tickets. They do have an off season that is less expensive, not sure how much and maybe AAA has discounts too. Or you could move to Florida to get a resident discount. ;)

i dont mind the bigger picturs, but if you want to size them all at once, there is a setting that you can change inphotobucket that will change all the sizes upon upload.

i dont remmeber where it is exactly i set mine last year.

sorry not much help, but i know you can do it.

:worship: Warning - Lurker coming out of the woodwork! I just want to start off by saying that I absolutely love your Trip Report! I found it a few months ago, and am so happy that you started posting again! No matter how long or frustrating my day has been I know I can count on your Trip Report to make me smile and laugh.

I saw the dilemma you are having with pictures and hope that I can help.

Try following the steps below that allow you to set a default size before you upload the pics.

1. Log into your Photobucket account.
2. Click the more options link in the Upload panel.
3. Click the button next to your preferred maximum resize dimensions for your web-size images.

I'm not sure if it will automatically change all your current pictures. If it doesn't I can look for other options you may have. Hopefully it will at least help you out in the future!

OMG you are hysterical. :rotfl2: I wish I could vacation with you. I cant stop laughing......and BTW you should seriously consider writting for a travel mag cause you have the best explanations for things...

Okay, seriously - that room was NOT up to Disney standards for sure. Total ick factor. I would have never guessed that was Disney resort you were in. It looked more like the hotel that we stayed at in Pigeon Forge back in August. I posted pics of the air unit, also, on my thread. We only stayed there one night. Hopefully your phone call got the room cleaned up, but my guess is probably not.

Love the pictures you posted of the kids on Shamu. Your kids are so funny! I can't imagine where they get it from? :rotfl:

I will agree to the move as soon as Baylor graduates. I will do Discovery sooner though!

Is it wrong I feel dirty? You have been having a relationship with me for months now and I am just finding out about it. Figures I am the last to know. Do we have any kids? :lmao:

I will work on that tom. if it doesn't change the ones in already - it will help the future pics. You explained it well - now I have to see if I can do it. DOOOOO ittttttt. :rolleyes1

Are ya hiring cause I have loads of experience. I will have to tell you of the time Baylor wore Hello Kitty flip flops so he was tall enough for the rides. :rolleyes1

Nope - just the inside mold in the window sills - thus the free hotel stay portion of the trip!
Love the pictures you posted of the kids on Shamu. Your kids are so funny! I can't imagine where they get it from? :rotfl:

I have a pic of me depancing Treyner at Sea World - he had boxers on so it was not a full monty thank you but it is one of my favorite Kodak Moments ever!

Hey Zookeeper - I sent you a PM (private message) do you know how to get it? - look up in the right hand corner - yellow box.

Ok - you might be smarter than I was but you are at only 3 posts so I wasn't sure what you knew vs what you did not.

I luv, luv, luv Sea world too! DH..not so much. Loved your photos. We were there in July and your photos bring me right back there! I am obsessed with the dolphins. My family left me in the underground area (where hairy pit man was photographed) or I refused to leave~whatever~ I could stay there all day. It's so calming like watching an aquarium...ummm. maybe because it IS an aquarium :rotfl:

The sea lion exhibit was awesome too. There were a bunch of little ones when we went in July. Did you see any?

So where did you go next? popcorn::

That room was definitely not up to Disney standards! Yikes!

We love SeaWorld, too. My girls loved petting the dolphins. Very cool. The Shamu shows are great...but I agree with you on the dolphin show -- too much emphasis on the flying bird-people and not enough on the dolphins.

Love your updates!

Dawn...apparently I need to post 10 messages prior to being able to send PMs...LOL....of course. But yes to what you wrote. I would be overjoyed to read anything you write...cause you crack me up....opening up your posts are like opening up a box of chocolates..you never know what your gonna get.
Hehe you did Dirty Dancing I had to throw in the gump.

OK now I know where you get it....her reaction to why she never apologized is priceless. And the funny thing is Eddie fishes the same way...and I go dodging for cover when he casts wildly. Then he looks at you like you are the crazy one.....sorry, I have other plans than having a piercing by rusty fish mouth bacteria infested hook.
Yes...there will never be a darn fishing show in our future...rats. Cause I was hoping to get rich off THAT...lol Poor Grandpa....
BTW I am on PTR page 7....still laughing.....still reading....just wondering, do the kids know how funny you are or do they roll their eyes in shame?
