"Did Pluto Just Give You A Lap Dance?" 10 days of Naughty & Nice!

Well I just found your TR this morning and have been cracking up and really enjoying it. A break is understandable, but for MY OWN SAKE...not that it matters much:lmao: I hope you finish it when you're ready! I would love to know why, in fact, it is called, "Did Pluto just give you a lap dance?"

I'm glad everything is working ot for ya'll and I hope it continues to only get better.:grouphug:

so glad to have you back. Your posts have had me in smiles and tears. So glad to hear that you are all healing!

Hello cheese head neighbor! ;) Are you excited about Brett Favre or in the camp of who cares or the huge amount of Wisconsinites who think he is a rat fink trader?

Thanks for the kind words - I did not want to make you tear up! Sorry!:)

Glad you found us and I have to ask - did you read the pre trippie as well?

I think the link was back on the first page of the TR.

I will be working on the next days installment between today and tom! Have to go make pecan pie bars for Carsyn's soccer pre-season pot luck! They are a family fave and easy - bt taste really good so I hope the kids eat them all because I do not want them to follow me home!:worship:

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM....pecan pie. I miss FL, we got all of the good southern food down there.

On it's way...and tell me if you want a recipe for banana bread! It has sour cream in it and no oil! The best ever recipe and I am a B- bread lover from birth! Found it in a lil old recipie book form the North Carolina woods this summer and it is the best. I need to write the athor and get her other books!

It is a wonderful family - at times crazy and we have our moments when I need that reminder from you. But those 3 kids would do anything for each other and me and that is rare these days.

My B-day was Sunday - Treyner called at 9:30 a.m. from college on a Sunday when he has been having 8 hour soccer practice in the 98 degree heat for a week. That is love.

Carsyn and Baylor are learning how to adapt to a house minus their big brother and no one has been killed yet - That is love.;)

can't wait to hear/see more about this trip!
and congrats on the engagement.

Thanks! Dan is fabulous and I know every day what I have to lose so I work hard on me and our relationship. Not always in that order!:)

I found this thread today and am very glad I did - you are one amazing lady! I've been sitting here at work reading both your PTR and your TR and alternating between laughing hysterically at your water park antics (hoping nobody walks by my office) and on the verge of tears reading about your DS. Your strength and sense of humor is to be commended and envied. :worship: You have three wonderful children and you have raised them well.

I'm subscribing to this TR and will look forward to updates whenever you have a chance to do so. popcorn::

Take care!

Thanks so much for taking the time to write that. I do not think i do anything more than any other mom - I just write about it. If only I could make a living at it! :worship:

You are a new poster and so you reeading my thoughts and words is a huge compliment! Once you have drank the Mickey red Koolaid - you are equally appreciated but more expected KWIM?

From one Dawn to another, I have enjoyed your trip report very much. I have laughed and cried. I have tried to think of how I would have reacted had something so horrible happened to my beautiful child. You are strong and have a wonderful supportive family. You also have a large Dis family here waiting for you.

Now, I am off to read your PTR. I have a feeling I won't be going to sleep tonight any time soon! :surfweb:

I am happy you stopped by! Let me know what you thought of the PTR. The chances of an accident like Baylor's is small but not uncommon. Make an appointment for any kids or grandkids for yearly fire station updates and find out if local burn units hold any educational classes. 99% of burns are preventable and most involve at least 1 of 3 things.

Alcohol, fire pits and gasoline.

With the popularity of home fire pits, - the beds on the unit Baylor was at have been full all summer and mostly with kids. They have had to hire more docs because the problem is on the rise.

BTW: Is there a "Un-Crafty" Dawn title? Cause it would be mine.

I am stellar at painting ideas and home decorating stuff but I have 0 craft talent beyond that. And that is not a craft anyway - more of a knack. Or style - or heck, sheer luck. :worship:

When I was in 7th grade Art, I drew a Duran Duran concert stage. Each day I had to show my art teacher the progress I had made so he knew we were not just screwing around in class.:rolleyes1

So I went up all proud and he said:

"Well Dawn, I can tell that there is a drum kit in the back and a microphone but why are there pizza flippers hanging from the ceiling?"

I was horrified he could not tell they were stage lights.

Okay, not horrified.

Maybe it was angry.

Humiliated perhaps?

How bout embarrased.

Cause he was right.

It looked like Simon LeBon had contracted with Pizza Hut to design their new and improved concert ensemble.

Now though, I think they should have.

We all still can find a Pizza Hut.

How many teens can belt out "The Reflex," or "Hungry Like the Wolf," and even I could settle for "Wild Boys?" :lmao:

***I literally just threw out my Duran Duran scrapbook of stuff about 2 months ago when getting ready for Treyner's grad party. If it is ever worth something I will kick myself! The chances are small but I will. I did not part with the ever popular Duran Duran game though! How many of you have that? :confused3:rotfl2:

Dawn, what is your middle name? I take a poll every time I meet a Dawn. 99% have one in particular - I think it was a rule.

I also have not met a Dawn born after 1978. I think it is a name that went with an era. But now there is a resurgence of names like "Grace" and "Addi." so maybe one day my great, great grandaughter will be named after me. Or it will continue on the trend of my kids with having more unusual names.

Like, "Moon Crater."

Let's just hope she doesn't have acne!:rotfl:

I'm so glad you're back, Dawn. :goodvibes "Laughter through tears is my favourite emotion" certainly applies. :grouphug:

Thanks a lot! I am working on the next edition today. Baylor has scool orientation tom. and so we did some school shoping I was not lanning - on top of getting ready for Carsyn's b-day gathering Friday -ugh!

"Hungry Like The Wolf" would make a good theme song for Pizza Hut--

Hey Dawn! My middle name is "Christina". I am interested in the results of your survey. I know what you mean about the name and the era it's from. I do have to say that I was definitely born pre-1978. :goodvibes

As for the crafty title....I do enjoy crafts but am NOT artistic. I don't even think I can draw a stick figure :rotfl: Go Figure!!

I just found your TR yesterday and am thoroughly enjoying it. Haven't started on the PTR yet but will do that today. Many hugs to you and your family for what you have been through.

Your writing is so humorous -- I love it. Congratulations to you and your sweetie on your upcoming wedding!

I have a 10 year old DD who is now playing academy soccer. Now I take the title "Soccer Mom" as a compliment! Just wish I could get DD15 to also play soccer so I wouldn't be trying to clone myself to be in two places at once (soccer with DD10 and track/cross country with DD15). Forget DH...he coaches girls' softball and boys' basketball so he's not around much...three sporting events in three different places all on the same day...gotta love it! I think that's why we love WDW so much -- we actually get to see each other in the same place for several continuous days! LOL

I like pizza - but Pizza Hut is not my fave - I like a local company - thin crust and more authentic and not so mass proccessed...which is probably a good thing - a Pizza Hut is about 4 blocks from my house. I may look more like Mrs. Potato Head!:lmao:

I am a 1971 baby - and the very popular name is Marie. Blech!I have met one Leann, and one Lynn but you are the first Christina. I wish my parents had any originality. I refused to name my kids after me for many reasons (I wanted them to have their own identity) but mostly cause I thought my name was so boring growing up. Dawn Marie. In 6th grade I tried to get away with having the teacher call me Domica (pronounced dough-me-ca.) Because I thought it was so glamerous!:rotfl: I have always wanted to be from somewhere besides the midwest!

You should see me play Pictionary! If something looks like an amoeba it is the United States. That is always a great point of reference!

So does that mean if my book gets published you will buy it? I will hold you to it! ;)

Get it! 3 kids - 3 diffeent schedules even though they played soccer. At one point they were all in dance and gymnastics a total of 15 hours a week plus one other sport each. The loved trying and being busy - now that we are down to just 2 at home - and only one sport - it seems I am wondering how the hey I ever managed it before!
