I saw part of this story on the news last night. Supposedly the parents are vegetarians and were raising all their children that way. The news also stated that upon the medical examiners report of the little baby, she didn't have a thymus gland, which could have been the cause of the baby's death. They have several other children who are staying with relatives now and in between the time that the baby died and now they also had another child. I think 4 or 5 kids total. They said the children all looked emaciated and one had a bloated stomach. Whatever the cause of death was, its a pathetic shame that a baby of that age died having such a low weight. They also said that dyfs or whatever group of people that were on this case before the death have been fired, so, it seems to me that another child fell through the system and through some type of neglect lost her life. They also stated that on several occasions the father would come home and the wife smelled chicken on his breath and she was sooo furious she threw him out, but he came back home after a few days. A shame and a tragedy...

this is truly sad
so many kids are falling through the cracks and would be better off with people who actually want kids but are SANE and can care for them
im so sick of hearing about kids that arent fed or clean and that are abused

Sounds like abuse to me. ESPECIALLY since the parents seem to be in good health...hmmm

Yeah, I guess I don't understand why this child wouldn't have been breastfed at 5 months. Baby food doesn't get any more "natural" than that!
