Did Pandora opening affect rest of Animal Kingdom?

Our dates are June 9th - 16th and rumer has it that Toy Story Land will open late May’ish. Our primary reason for our HS day is for the Star Wars things since it’s been a few years since we’ve been there. We aren’t interested in the new Toy Story Land but I’m curious how it will affect the rest of the park as far as crowds go. Did anyone experience this when Pandora opened? What was the rest of AK like?

Right around when Pandora opened the rest of AK was swamped. It's not as bad now but it's definitely brought a bunch more people to the park

And if I had to guess I'd put Toy Story opening around July/August

The only area that seemed significantly busier to us was Pandora itself... everyone is standing in the 2 hour lines, so the lines on everest and rapids are short
