Did Pal Mickey's batteries need replaced during your vacation?

I'm planning to get a Pal Mickey when we arrive. Will his batteries need replaced within our week's vacation? What kind of batteries does he use? I'd rather bring them from home than to search for them at WDW if I need them. Thanks.

Ours didn't need new batteries. They use either the AA or AAA I can't remember, but they are the kind available all over WDW. I did learn that batteries at WDW aren't any more expensive than they are at home. My camera needed a new battery and I bought one at the gift shop in The Living Seas and was surprised how cheap it was. I had a conversation with the CM who said he's always been amazed that they aren't more expensive and that he always buys his at work.
