I think I will like this. The hardest part of it all was finding my heart rate. By the time I found it each time the count was almost over!!

At ours we go around 1 1/2 times. It was kind of busy when I was there but I had my appt. for a later time then when I will usually go. I think if I get there right after I pick up dd from school it won't be so busy. I am going to try to g 4 times a week to start out but will at least try to get the recommended times in.

Weigh to go, Sheila! I love my Curves, and try for at least 3 times a week. I usually go on Tuesday/Thursday, but today (Monday) hit the Curves. It was REALLY busy today. I like to double up on a couple of machines (the legs ;) ) but couldn't do it today, so just did a few extra machines in order. We have skipping ropes, too, but I find that if it is too busy, I can't do that either. Enjoy!

That's IT? 1 1/2 times? Ours started at 3 times around. After adding two new machines (and therefore two new recovery stations) it became 2 1/2 times around. I can't imagine only 1 1/2 times! I'd make sure it was the full 30 minutes no matter how many times that is.

Congrats, Sheila ! I've been going to Curves since March and I still love it! I was wondering if your Curves has all 15 machines ... 1.5 times around would make 22 or 23 machines which is pretty close to mine which started out with 8 machines and we go around 3 times for a total of 24 machines. Once you get into the groove of it, you can always do a few extra machines if you feel up to it. Their idea of a "30 minute" workout includes 5 minutes for the cool-down.

Enjoy your time there !

I did not count how many machines there were but we do each one 3 times. 1 full circle gives you 2 times at each machine. I will have to count them next time to see.

WOW!! Your Curves must be HUGE! I'm jealous!

The one I work at now has 11 different machines. Technically it takes more than 30 minutes to do the circuit 3 full times, but most people would rather do it that way than to remember which machines they skipped so that they can be sure do get them the extra time on their next visit!

We have been really REALLY busy too. Lots of tours, lots of new members. The only time I get to work out is when I'm showing a new member how to use the machines! ;) But it feels SO good to have a woman come in who has not worked out in a long time and is very aprehensive about exercising at all and you can "see" her thinking "even *I* can do this"!!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I tried counting the machines but kept messing up when it was time to get on another. I think there are 22 machines in the full circle but there are two of each one.
