I'm lucky! Where I work they pay you for a day missed, almost like sick day. Not sure for how long as I've only had to go for one day each time. If your company pays you, then you loose the $6.00 or whatever it is the county will pay you.

As far as IPhones and computers, they are only allowed in the "Jury waiting room". Once your number is called, all that stuff has to be put away.

This makes sense. But, the people I've talked to said that security happened as they entered the Jury Waiting room, not as they left it and therefore they weren't allowed to have anything in the waiting room that they wouldn't be allowed to have in the courtroom.

I think what's been described here is far more sensible.
