Charo brings Spain to Las Vegas

In celebration of her perpetual youth and her birthday, Charo opened her new venue in Las Vegas at a private show on Jan 16, 2003 in a setting replicating a mountain castle in Spain. Her international revue Bravo, which opened to the public Jan 17, sports a team of Spanish Dancers and electrifies Sevilla Las Vegas, a restaurant of Spanish Cuisine and a club for Latin dancing. She performs eight times a week, showing her skill as one of the top Spanish acoustical guitarists in the world, a songwriter, singer, dancer and comedian.

She used to have a restaurant on Kauai but she sold it. She had a house there too.

I once saw her walking around this open air market near the CBS Studio's in Hollywood & she was just smiling at everyone & whoever made eye contact with her, she would flash them a big smile & say "HI!" She's very tiny!

(I can't remember the name of this market....can someone help me? It's a tourist attraction too!)

Oh my gosh! This is too weird! I was just saying last night how much I like her! I think she's adorable! She's full of life and love. Parts of her may be phony , but her personality isn't! She's just too out there and too cool! I love the phone commercial she did a little while ago.

Yup, that's where I saw her.

We saw her a few years ago on our cruise. She was the main entertainment and put on a great show. I think she's in her early fifties and I was surprised to find out she's younger than me. If I remember correctly, she started out in show business when she was about fifteen and everyone thought she was older then.

When we docked in Cozumel, she walked the pier (a long walk) right beside us and was so friendly you'd think you had been friends forever.

She is beautiful and vibrant and could pass for much younger, even up close. She is also very, very talented. I was particularly impressed with her guitar playing... well, that was the second most impressive thing...
