Did I not get the right quote from AAA?

After reading the numerous threads regarding the new MYW codes, etc. and what folks have gotten in terms of going through AAA - for some reason I feel that maybe I am missing something.

Bottomline - the only thing that changed between my original reservation with AAA and the new MYW (with new codes) was the addition of the waterpark feature - and then with the new MYW, quoted through AAA, it was like 20.00 more. So here is where I get confused - should my AAA agent been able to get a "better" deal in terms of price or does that sound about right? Below is my specs:

Feb. 3-10th
AKL - Savannah View - 2 Adults - 1 child (2 during our trip)
Originally just got Park Hopper add-ons but since have added the waterparks
Dining plan for 2 Adults
Travel Insurance

I did read somewhere that if you are staying at a deluxe the discount isn't as steep in terms of getting AAA discount with the new MYW codes - can anyone confirm?

Thanks in advance!

My price didn't change with the "new" AAA code--I just got more benefits (i.e. free park hopping and water parks). Originally, the savings between the regular WDW MYW package (WDW website price) and AAA MYW package was about $215 (2 adults @ POFQ w/ dining) -- when you factor in the free hoppers and water park option we "saved" about $85 more dollars with the new AAA code. Does that make any sense? :confused3

You can check prices on WDW website to compare yourself. Did you get a price of around $2900 or so? If so, I think you got the best deal possible right now.

As far as the discounts for each resort...my AAA TA said she has seen more discounts for some deluxes and some of the values than the moderates... :confused3

Hope this helped! (or maybe I just confused you more! LOL! :teeth:

I saved over $400 with AAA. We are at GF and got park hoppers with dining.

I don't know. This whole code thing has been weird. Of course, my AAA TA is NOT a Disney specialist, so it has been difficult to boot.

My original AAA package with dining was $1935.71, when she finally got the new code applied (which took her a day or two) my package changed to $1846.16, so I saved an additional $90. I am staying at a mod.

If I check for the same package (thru discount link) at disney.com, the total I get is $1898.77, so she somehow saved me $$ over the code discount. I don't know how & am worried that she somehow messed something up. I wish she would send me a complete print out of what I have. The revised paper she sent me lists:

01 FEB 06 - WEDNESDAY
TOUR
WALT DISNEY WORLD
MAGIC YOUR WAY PKG
DEPART: 01FEB RETURN: 07FEB DAYS: 6
THE MAGIC YOUR WAY PACKAGE INCLUDES: 6NI
AT CORONADO SPRINGS/6-DAY HOPPER PASS/
AIRPORT/HOTEL TRANSFERS/PULS DINING PLAN

TOTAL COST OF TOUR.............$1846.16

I am wondering if I do have the plus pack!

She is really killing me. I called to talk to her yesterday & she was out sick. I am really ready to cancel & rebook thru DU.

There are a couple of other threads that have e-mails for good Disney AAA agents. I tried Kristin Basnett and she saved me $606.49 over Disney Travel for my package for 7 people, 3 rooms at POFQ. She is not in my state but still can do it for you. I do not have a close AAA agent and I've heard proplems if they don't know Disney!! Give her a try, or one of the others mentioned. You may, like me, be glad you did!!
