I just cancelled Le Cellier to get the Garden Grill instead. The reason I did this was because I have a child who loves characters, and I don't think Le Cellier's restaurant is really that nice. The Garden Grill is very fascinating as the restaurant rotates past the scenes and it is quiet. Unfortunately, the food and service may not be as good as Le Cellier. I know how difficult it is to get a reservation at Le Cellier and I hope I don't change my mind again. What do you think? :confused3

If you have a small kid you can't go wrong with a character meal. It will truly be a unique experience and it is nice that you care for their enjoyment. Just remember not doing Le Cellier this time gives you a reason to go ahead and start planning a return trip and incentive to start saving money! :thumbsup2

I see you live in Florida, so there may be other trips to WDW in your future? Maybe you could go to Le Cellier next time :) I tend to keep the kids in mind first when meal planning at the World. We have tried both Garden Grill and Le Cellier. I may be in the minority, but Le Cellier did not live up to all the hype. It was good, but we had much better steak at Kona Cafe. We had a great time dining at GG 2 years ago. Great character interaction and decent food. The kids got a kick out of the rotating feature.

I think you already answered your own question.

GG is excellent for a kid who likes characters. I took DD8 there on our last trip - her food was the usual kids fare, but my ravioli was great and the characters came around 2-3 times each. I got the best picture of Mickey sitting down with her, helping her decorate her cupcake!

Try GG. You can always make a return trip for LeCellier if you're still kicking yourself later..... To be honest, from what you said, I'd choose GG if I was in this particular situation even if I didn't think I'd be returning to WDW..... My own .00003 of a cent. :)
