Did i just get hit on by a CM at Magic Kingdom? - Aug 09 TR! UPDATED 2/10

Yay, new update! I like the photopass pic from AK when you are holding Simba - too cute! Don't worry about losing on Space Ranger Spin, sometimes I can't see my laser either and I usually lose (even if it is working it is still a good excuse for my terrible aim ). Can't wait to hear about DHS!

Enjoyed the updates! I'm terrible at Buzz Lightyear too. I always complain that my controller isn't working and I can never figure out which dot is mine. I'm a lot better at Toy Story Mania, though!

One thing I really don't miss from college is Recruitment. Other sorority events, yes. Recruitment? Ugh, no.

Day 3!!

So this morning i planned to wake up early because i wanted to get to DHS so we could ride TSM and get FPs to ride it again....but of course that didn't work out. I ended up hitting snooze and slept until 9:15. keith got up at 9:35 and we got ready.

We went to get breakfast from the food court as usual and we shared a panckes with bacon platter and i got an extra side of bacon. I loveeee bacon lol. So then we waited about 10 mins and got a bus to DHS!

So of course i had to get Photopass pictures because the CM was standing there and there was no one waiting..the sun was in our eyes so in most pics keith's eyes were closed lol, heres the best 2 pics..

So then we headed to TSM to get FP's. Our return time was for 7:10! Im glad that we got the FP's even though we were really late lol. Then we went to one of my favorites...One Man's Dream!

Keith even thought it was pretty interesting and thats saying a lot! lol then we went over to the studios backlot tour and i was excited because i've never done it before. It was pretty good, but i was really looking forward to Lights, Motors, Action!

We got off the backlot tour around 1:00 and went straight to Lights, Motors, Action to get seats. It was so incredibly hot waiting for the show to start omg! Finally it started and i was excited for keith to see it because the first time i saw it i thought it was really cool. A tire blew out in the middle of a scene and they had to fix it, it made this huge popping sound that scared me lol.

After the show was over i was starving (prob the only time the whole trip that i was) so we went to the terrace grill. Keith didnt like anything on the menu so he didnt eat. I got Chicken with rice & beans (yumm) with a coke and choc. cake. After i ate we went to Star Tours. We waited about 30 mins and finally got on. I always feel like that ride is so short =[

Then we rode the great movie ride which i've never done before either. We were standing behind these really smelly people in line eww. The ride was okay, our CM was kinda funny but seemed like she didnt wanna be there. Finally it was done and we went over to sunset blvd and looked in all the shops. Keith bought me some stuff which you'll hear more about at the end of my TR.

Sorry for the lack of pictures at this point, i guess i was distracted most of the time lol. But then i had to get a Mickey Premium ice Cream Bar, it was sooo cold. We sat at one of the tables in front of the starring role cafe while i ate it. I finally took a pic!

Then we just sat there for a little while resting..Thats it for now!

Wow, what a late return time for TSM - people get those fastpasses like crazy. It's funny that sometimes it takes 20 minutes just to get a fastpass. Once when we were there for opening and were headed to TSM, a man ran past a ton of people (almost knocking us over ) and tried to run past the CM that was leading us. The CM started to yell at him so he backed off.

One Man's Dream is one of my favorites too! I could look in there all day long!

Day 3 continued..

So after resting for a little while we decided to start heading over to Mama Melrose's for our 6:10 ADR. We looked in a few more shops and got to MM like 25 mins early and it was soo hot so we tried to find shade and sat down.

It looked pretty crowded in MM but at 5:50 we went inside to check in. When i went up to the podium the CM said they were running behind and that i couldnt check in until 10 mins before my ADR time. I was like okay? thats dumb why cant you just make a note that im here? anyway we stood in a corner for a while and then a family was called and we got to sit in one of the couches. I took a pic while we were sitting...

So at exactly 6 i went up to the podium again to check in and a different CM was there and i was like can i check in now for a 6:10 ressie? and she says yeah of course so i did and i wondered if she even knew that i was told not to check in the first time..so anyway she told me it would be about 15-20 mins, so i sat back down and not even 1 minute later my name was being called? so of course i was happy they were seating us right away but the whole ordeal of checking in bothered me!

So we got seated at this little table up against the wall in the hallway next to the dining room. It was really dim in there but it added to the experience lol

So our waiter was pretty nice. I ordered the Tinkerbell lemonade in the plastic cup with the light up tinkerbell for a drink because i really wanted the cup. (I collect things with tink) Actually i just noticed you can see our waiter bringing our drinks in the pic above ^. Keith was laughing at me because all the other people who had that drink were kids! oh well im at disney i can be a kid! so we both end up ordering the penne ala vodka. It was really good, better than i was expecting, the sauce was exactly the right consistency for me. So dinner seemed to go fast, we didnt even order dessert so we were out of there in no time.

After stopping in the bathroom to wash out my tink cup to take home we headed toward TSM to use our FPs!! We waited like 5 mins for our time and then we went in and got on line..once we got to the part of the line where you get the 3d glasses and when the two lines merge there were some very pissed off people. Apparently these people got on the stand-by line when the wait time was 1 hr and 45mins and they have been waiting 3 hours so far! that sucks! so this man was begging the CM to let his wife back on line because after waiting for so long she couldnt hold in it any longer and had to go to the bathroom, so after like 5 mins going back and forth she finally comes back and is allowed to get on line..all the stand-by people were sooo mad at this point and i actually felt bad because we didnt wait really at all..

So this was our first time doing TSM and i was excited! It is def the best ride i had rode so far! I was concerned more with my accuracy instead of just shooting at nothing but keith didnt care so of course he won...but i had better accuracy!!! Im on the left and he is on the right..

So once we were done with TSM we headed over to get seats for Fantasmic! I got a chocolate milk and we headed in..i think we sat in the scar section on the end of a row to the left. There was a pole kind of in front of me but oh well. And then we waited.....and waited....and waited...while we were waiting i took some pics..

So after a while the crowd was getting restless so they started to do the wave. This lasted for at least 15 mins. It reminded me of the time i was at Citi Field for a Mets game and the wave went around the stadium for 3 innings straight! so of course i took a video on my camera..



Finally Fantasmic started and it was great!! Keith and I loved it and it was def worth the wait. We got up right before it ended to get a head start out and it didnt take us very long. The line for the 2nd showing of fantasmic was huge and went all the way down sunset so i was glad we were getting out of there.

We got back to our room around 10. We decided to go in the pool for a little while. Half an hour later we headed back to the room and then to bed!

Wonderful update! I love the vid! That's really annoying that the cm wouldn't let you check in when you went up and I have never heard of that rule before either. At least you didn't have to wait very long though! Can't wait for the next installment. Hmmm... I wonder who the visitors could be??

Mini-Update!!!

I bought tickets to Disney on Ice!!!! Keith and I are going on Nov 13th and im really excited! I was never really into it but then i saw i could get discounted tickets and i splurged lol. Has anyone ever seen it? I dont really know what to expect but im so excited to have a little bit of Disney magic in my life again!

oh yeah and today Keith says to me, "I want to go back to florida", i was like "wait you want to go back to disney?" and hes like "yeah i really liked it!!!" YAY, after we got home i wasnt sure if i converted him into a disney lover because he complained about doing so much but he actually wants to go back! good thing because i've been picking dates for our next trip since we got back =]

After our trip in June, he was the one who suggested going to back in August!

I've also converted my roommate to love the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. She had never seen any of them before , so we had a pirate marathon this past weekend, and now she is obessessed with them too!

When we first started going to WDW, my dad liked it quite a bit, but lately he has become obessessed with it (even if he doesn't want to admit it ). After our trip in June, he was the one who suggested going to back in August!

Yay for my 100th post =]

Day 4!

So originally this was going to be our free to do anything day and i was planning on doing either mini-golf, renting a sea raycer, go to downtown disney or sit by the pool. This all changed just a little, but it requires some back story so here you go...

So i had our trip planned since jan 09 and im pretty sure i booked in feb. So one day while i was at Keith's house his parents were discussing going to florida over the summer. They didnt know when they were going but they were going. So eventually Keith's mom tells me that they are going the week after we go to disney and that i should try to cancel our flight home so we could go with them the extra week. So of course it was impossible to cancel those tickets without $300 in charges so that was a no go. I actually would have liked to spend an extra week in florida if i hadnt already booked our flights.

So then Keith's mom tells me that his dad can't get off work the week after we go but he has off the week we will be in disney. So of course now im getting a little frustrated because things keep changing and i just want to go to disney with keith! so finally the decision was that his family would be going to florida for 2 weeks..They left a week before we left and would get back around the same time we would. They were driving down to florida and staying with Keith's grandpa about 2 hours from disney.

So now i was kinda upset cuz that meant i couldnt spend any extra time in florida at all and i would have really liked to go on vacation with his family cuz they dont take vacations often but my trip was already planned months ago! So then Keith started to ask me if we could see his grandpa and im like are you serious? i had asked him back when i made the reservation if he wanted to visit him and i would have made arrangements, but now its like a couple of weeks before we leave and hes giving me a guilt trip about how he hasnt seen his grandpa in like 8 years.

Of course i felt bad but im not wasting the money i already paid for our vacation to go spend a day somewhere other than disney. So long story not so short lol a couple of days before we left for disney keiths mom calls me from florida asking if it was possible for us to meet up one day while we are down there. She said they would come to us and i could pick a place for us to get lunch.

So i was totally fine with this because it worked out good for everyone so i suggested that we meet on wed. because we didnt have anything actually planned and that we meet at downtown disney. I made an ADR at the rainforest cafe for all 8 of us. So now you know what led up to day 4!

Day 4! For real this time!

So we woke up to Keith's mom calling, saying they were on their way and about an hour outside disney. We got ready super fast and went to get a bus to DTD. We skipped breakfast because we didnt want to make them wait for us since they were close. The bus ride was reallllly long! After stopping at Typhoon Lagoon we finally got to the marketplace. Keith's mom had told him they were by the water but we found them easily. It was Keith's mom, dad, sister Ashley, Brother Ryan, his grandpa and his grandpa's wife. Keith hadnt seen his parents or brother & sister in over a week since they left the week before us so everyone was happy to see each other! It was the first time i met Keith's grandpa and his wife and they were really nice and totally cool =]

So i am going to apologize now but i took NO pictures! None at all, i don't think i used my camera this whole day! whoops, i knew i would slack off somewhere but i promise i will make up for it with day 5!

So after greetings we headed to the world of disney store cuz keith's grandpa wanted a mickey watch. Keith's mom found it cool that i knew exactly where to go to find a mickey watch in the store lol so we looked around and started walking from the marketplace to west side stopping in shops along the way. Keith got a shirt in the planet hollywood store and then we went to the magic shop! keith thought the card trick they were doing was so cool that he bought it!! haha its actually pretty cool how it works.

So then we headed back toward the rainforest cafe. We got seated around 1:00 which was way earlier than our ADR at 1:30 & i was starving! I ordered the cesare salad and BBQ wings. The food took a long time but we were entertained by the periodic thunderstorms in the rainforest and the creepy gorrillas sitting behind us!

Finally after lunch Ashley wanted to get one of those rings that they carve your name into. So once Keith saw them he decided he had to have one with his nickname "Mac" so he got one too! I think he got the cheapest one which was brass or something so he kept getting green on his finger! haha i told him not to get it esp. since i have never seen him wear a ring before!

So after the rings were done, Keith's family was leaving. We said our goodbyes and got on a bus to the grand floridian. Once we got there we walked around a bit. I wanted to go to GF because i was determined that we were going to rent a Sea Raycer and we still had some time left so i was hoping we could rent one at the poly because i have never been there. So we took the monorail over to the poly and checked things out. We got to the boat rental window and....
