Did I figure this right and other FP+ questions

we are checking into POR 1/18/16 for 4 nights then transferring to WL for 6 nights. Do I make my FP+'s the night of 11/19/15 and can I make them for both ressie so or will I have to wait on the WL ressies? We have 9 day park hopper assess not part of a room ressie on our Disney experience account. Thanks!
