I just made a PS for 7:45 at California Grill on May 6th in hope of catching the fireworks that night. The fireworks are at 9:15 but I was thinking by the time we got seated it would not be too far off. I also want to request a window seat so i know that will delay the seating. So...does anyone think this will work out?

You did very well. Fireworks at the Magic Kingdom and dessert at the California Grill. It doesn't get much better than that. Enjoy! :)

We have been there the past 2 Christmas Eves with 7:45 p.m reservations. It seems the fireworks are best seen at the opposite end to where the dining part is...although you can go
outside on the terrace and view.

Now, they do dim the lights inside the restaurant at show-time so you may be able to see most of the display. In addition...the 'window' seats are banquet booths with a rather high back and not terribly condusive to a great vantage point.

We have found lingering over a cocktail (or 2) gets us in the best position to view the fireworks from the lounge end of the restaurant prior to dining. Just my opinion....

We ate there a few weeks ago during the fireworks. Our table was at the end of the restaurant near the outdoor viewing area and right next to the window. It was a perfect and magical view! There is quite a bit of seating at the other end of the restaurant, but some tables are right where the best view is.

We had a 6:30 PS, fireworks were at 7:15. The wait was about 30 minutes. We were seated just a few minutes before the fireworks started. I think you'll probably do fine with your PS.

We've got 19:45 for the 10th May and this is supposed to be a good time - I'd get to the lounge earlier though if you really wanna secure that window seat :)

We usually eat dinner right in the lounge!! We are usually pretty fortunate regarding a window seat in the lounge--so we usually just stay right where we are and have dinner!
