Hi!

I just received an e-mail from Disney offering a discount on "select moderate resorts" for a stay during January or February. I don't know if it's a good deal or not--it says "$54 off" the nondiscounted rate and "Moderates from $79 per night." It included a discount code and a "personalized PIN."

We won't be able to use this code anyway but we're pretty new to onsite stays and for future reference I'm wondering whether this type of e-mail goes out to everyone on the list, and also how often these things generally get sent out. I've heard of the postcards (haven't gotten one) and understand that they seem to be sent out randomly, but are e-mails different? TIA for any insight you can give me....:D

Big favor!!!
if your not going to use it would you mind if we could have it? we are arriving dec 31st-jan 8th. if you don't mind could you pm me your pin
if not i understand, thanks in advance

aw, i hope that wasn't rude of me to ask:confused:

Of course it was not rude to ask! :)
However, I just looked back at the e-mail and it says the offer is "non-transferable," and the fact that the PIN is specifically called a "Personalized PIN" tells me that the PIN is attached to my name and wouldn't work for reservations under anyone else's name.

Sorry--would've loved to have helped!

I got one too. And, yes, the PIN is associated with your name and can't be shared.

It is suprising to see a room only code even if it did come with a PIN.

Postcards are attached to your name. The number and name of the person making the ressie need to match : (

oh well, worth a shot. Thank you anyways for your prompt response. Hopefully you can get another one when you are able to go.

Yes, I got one too. Can't use it either, hopefully there will be more in the future!

Gee - I am going in January and I didn't get anything! I know I am registered on their site etc.

I never get postcards or emails ... ever. I wonder if it's because I am a DVC owner? I am not using my DVC points in January - I want a discount code! Wah, Wah.

I got the email too. This is the first time I've ever gotten one I can use. We're planning on going 1/23 - 1/31. I'll be calling CRO first thing tomorrow.

Also, I know how I got this. I was on disney.com a couple of weeks ago. When I was done and went to another website I got a pop-up from Disney asking me to take a survey. It was a short survey just asking what I was looking for on their site and if I found what I was looking for. It also asked for my email address. I gave an address I rarely use, not the one I'm registered with at their site. So that survey must have put me on an email list. I never get any deals at my main email address because they know I go to WDW at least once a year for at least a week. So why would they want to give me a discount?

got one too. Unfortunately i cannot use it either. We are going in august. hopefully they will have to good discounts then.

Hopefully I can talk DH into using some tax return money for trip in February?

I already made a reservation at Coronado Springs for 5 nts.

I just got on but it's 90 per night off of select Deluxe resorts maing them 109 per night from 1/1 - 2/11. I'm guessing that this is the standard rooms at WL and AKL only, anyone else try to use this one and what kind of rooms are they offering? Not sure we'd be able to go, but if it's that good a deal may have to think about it

Dang! I was just contemplating a solo trip in early Feb and this would have been the clincher!!! Oh well, maybe next time!

Darn! Didn't get one. I wonder if I had only waited a few more days to make ressies.....had just booked 5 nights Sunday for Jan 3-8 at POR.

Just got off the phone with Disney. They let me use my code for the value resorts. I got Pop Century for $49 per night in January. No more waiting for AP rates.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We have WL ressie for Jan. 1-5. I would like to get an e-mail for that tiime. I can cross my fingers.:jumping1:
