Did everyone get their new guidebook but me?

I remember reading that a lot of members received their new DVC Member Guidebook already. I'm still waiting for mine. Am I the only one still waiting? Think I need to contact Member services? Thanks!
 
We never received ours either. I called member services in early November and am still waiting.:(
 

Just be aware that (for whatever reason), you may need to call them several times before it arrives, so start now. I called and Emailed 4 times and they called me once to "verify" that I received it (I hadn't) between 10/1 and 11/25 when it arrived. So be prepared!
 
I don't want to sound like a chronic complainer...Or stupid...But I have the worst time trying to navigate through the guidebook. I guess they do the best they can...It's not like my DVC membership is an easy product to use...But the guidebook just seems so chopped up to me.

Is this something that I will eventually get the hang of? Is this just a newbie problem? Do they ever change the design/layout of the guidebook? Or, is this the way it has always been?

(In case you haven't guessed...Following instructions is not my strong point. I have a bike to put together for christmas morning, and I just know I will be up until 3 AM on christmas eve screaming at the instructions!)

Last time I spoke to my friend BCVOwner2002 she hadn't gotten hers yet either. I wonder if I make a visit to the DVC Sales Building at Boardwalk while I'm there in January if they would let me pick one up and bring it home for her........do you think they would give me one?
 
Start calling now....I never got one last year after at least 4 phone calls and a few emails. This time I called after getting the email mentioning that we should have received the guidebook and it arrived a week or so later. It was definitely the new one that had been requested for us when I called, not the arrival of the bulk mailing. I haven't received a second one.

Anyway, what the heck is the problem with DVC's mailing system? Vacation Magic seems very hit or miss, as do guidebooks, and even our member cards when we joined! The might be using an outside service....but when its this bad, find a new service!
 
To anniet, I tried to get one from the Boardwalk office in Nov 2002. The guide checked the computer and verified that one had not been mailed to me. However, they were unable to give me a Member Guidebook as it is mailed by a different department and there are not extra copies for distribution at the Boardwalk. I was instructed to call member services.

I had also called MS in October and was told to wait as all of the mailing of the guidebooks had not been completed.

See, now that just makes me angry. I work in Sales for an HMO and if someone asks me for material and I have it right there, I give it to them even though "sales" is technically for prospective members. If someone has already joined our plan, I'm not going to say "that's another department you have to call customer service." That to me is just poor service!

But thanks for the post disfan. You may have saved me a trip, depending on how far I decide to push the envelope!;)
 
Anniet - thanks for thinking of me but guess what? Mine finally arrived!!!! YEAH!!! I only called 6 times. Better late than never! Annmarie
 
Finally received ours today. I emailed member services last week. I stated in the email how nice it would be to receive it for Christmas. Well, Disney came through!

They emailed back:
Thank you for submitting your e-mail request.
We have requested a new guidebook
to be mailed to you. Please verify this is the correct
mailing address:

I sent back a message verifying my address.

Yes, Barb, you're the only one left.

I suggest calling your guide. I did that last month and we got it quickly.
 
No Barb, you are not alone. i don;t have mine yet either. I will have to call one of these days!!
 
Yes it was. On the cover it has 2002 - 2003 but inside it is 2003 - 2004 points usage guide.
 
We have not received our guide either. I called about mid-October, and they told me they were still mailing them out and I should give it until the first of November. So, about the second week of November (having still not received the guide), I called MS and they said they would request one be sent to me, and to expect it in 4-6 weeks. Well, I'm past the four week point and getting close to the 6 week point, so I guess it's almost time to call again.

We did receive Vacation Magic last week for the first time since joining DVC last March. I am hoping that is a positive sign...;)

I emailed MS the other day, got the verify your address response and they said I will receive mine shortly. :)
 
Wow, I didn't even realize I didn't get mine, until I started reading this thread, I will be calling tomorrow... Thanks.
 
My Guidebook arrived today! I am pleasantly shocked to say the least. I thought I was going to have to wait a 4-6 weeks! WhooHoo!
