Did Disney change their rules

I was watching a YouTube channel Jessfam they stayed at animal kingdom lodge I thought balloons were not allowed on property unless inflated first

The prohibited items list on the Disney world site still lists all balloons as prohibited at animal kingdom park and jambo/Kidani. I didn’t know they were allowed in any form so I’m surprised to hear about this.

Disney website shows the following relating to balloons.......I don't see it makes any distinction about inflated vs. deflated. Most zoos around the country prohibit various items that could be dangerous to the animals if they happen to get eaten.

Any rule is only as good as the enforcement. On any given day at Disney there are hundreds of rules being broken every minute, it just depends on the severity of the violation and the willingness of the CM to enforce it.

Just about every road has a speed limit and you'd be hard pressed to find one that has 50% of the people obeying it outside of rush hour when you are more parked than driving.

Has that always been the rule? I ask because we were staying at AKL on Mother's Day a few years ago. My son and DIL had a gift for me waiting in the room when we got there, they ordered it from Disney. It was a long stem rose, a bracelet, a tiara and wand all tied together with a mylar balloon saying Happy Mothers Day. This was a gift ordered from Disney, put together by Disney and placed in the room by Disney.

I don't know if it's a new or older rule but it does make sense not to have balloons near animals. I don't know about inflating before or after that is a to me.

She just posted two videos back to back but two days in a row i did see the balloons not surprised given how entitled she is but still entertaining

Not that it is relevant now, but 10yrs ago inflated balloons were not allowed. It was our first Disney trip with a stroller and we had a balloon tied to it to identify it that we bought at MK on our first day. At AK they would not let us in the park with it and we had to return it to our car.

I’ve stayed at kidani & jambo at least 3 times with a kid & a balloon. Never been told anything. Didn’t know it was a rule .

I could have misunderstood AKA assumed that if you are staying there Especially if in a savannah room because you are the closest to the animals
