Before you recieved your Disney code in your email, did you do anything that may have triggered the code?

Did you set up a new account? Update your Disney profile? Save a vacation plan? Book a vacation? Book an ADR? Make an online purchase from the Disney Store? Nothing at all??

I created a new account with a new email address. Then, I saved an itinerary (NOT a saved vacation), at the drop down, I said I was staying at a non-Disney hotel and that I didn't need tickets. I had a pin code in the new email address the very next morning. About the same time I created the first new account, I also did another one using a completely different email address, 4 days after I received the 1st pin in my email I also got one via a snail mail postcard that must've been linked to the 2nd new account I had created because I used DH's name on the account and the postcard was addressed to him. The 2nd offer was slightly better than the 1st, both were room discounts and I booked POFQ using the 35% off.

I did pretty much the same things, except that I also set up a new Disney account with an alternate mailing address (parents). This was the only email address to receive a pin code, and it was preceded by multiple Disney Destination emails, including "explore your resort." Good luck!:thumbsup2

What did I do? Let's see, four years after my last Disney trip, I suddenly started using my Disney account again. I priced out the expensive deluxe resorts I wanted to stay at, didn't save them, and created two itineraries, one saying we were looking for accomodations and one saying we were staying at a non-Disney resort.

In all, my mom has two Disney accounts and I have two Disney accounts, but the only one to receive a pin was the Disney account I've had for years. That account had my parents' mailing address on it, and my mom had already booked a room. The pin was only preceded by several Disney Insider newsletters.

I got the pin after building a couple of itineraries. I built one that said I was staying off-site and I built another that said I was going to stay in a Disney resort onsite. The 20/30/40% pin came a few days later.

Thanks for posting these tips. I'm hoping for a resort pin. We've already bought our tickets, and I don't think that we are staying long enough for dining, but a little help on the hotel front would be great. We're takin my daughter for her first visit for her 4th birthday in October.:yay:

I signed my husband up as never having been to WDW and saved some itineraries. He had a 20/30/40 code within 3 days. Then a couple of weeks after that he got another code for value resorts only but I forget what it was for.
