Did anyone use there AAA discount to book at hotel room at HRH , PBH and Royal Pacific Resort.

What was your rate.

I keep here everyone talk about enternment rates and fan club rates but nobody mentions AAA discounts rates.

I am going in July 2 to July 6 and worndering if get something in my price range. If not then I will have to go offsite.

P.S. If anyone know any close hotels offsite to US.

Thanks

I called two weeks ago and got a reservation with AAA rates for the HRH. It was $206. I called last week and changed the reservation to the entertainment rates. It is $125. So from what I can tell AAA rates are not too good. This is for early April.

I think the reason for this is the ent rate, fan club rate, and ap rate all come in lower than what the AAA rate is. Now on the other hand AAA rate was one of the only rates available at christmas time that they honored. Right before I left for our trip they came out with an ap rate that was very good (155) at PBH so that killed the 219 aaa rate they had. You may want to invest in the ent. book. We go to PBH every 4th July and we've always been able to book with ent rate so this could be your best bet.

i HAD RESSIES AT RP AAA RATE 198 GARDENVIEW 224 WATERVIEW.

THIS WAS LESS THAN HOTEL SITE RATE OR EXPEDIA RATE.
I THOUGHT I WAS PREETY SHARP GETTING DIS COUNT THROUGH AAA UNTIL

I CALLED ABOUT ENTERTAINMENT RATE GOT IT DOWN TO 125.WATERVIEW.fANCLUB WAS 138 I THINK

I BOUGHT THE E BOOK THROUGH MOUSESAVERS FOR 25 FREE SHIPPING.
125 FOR EASTER WEEKEND SEEMS VERY GOOD.

I MADE RESSIES THROUGH HOTEL DIRECT.THERE WAS NO PROBLEM CHANGING RATE.THE OPERATOR WAS HAPPY TO SAVE ME MONEY.
NOW I CAN TAKE WIFE TO EMERILS FOR DINNER AND STILL GET 5 DAYS FOR 2 TIXS.
SEEMS LIKE A NO BRAINER.

The AAA rate for HRH May 16-18th is $204 night (tax incl.), standard room. I've been calling every day for the Ent. rate but I think I heard they're not offering it for HRH for 2-night stays (Fri. check-in). RPR was $110/night (no tax.??) for the same nights, Ent. rate.

I will keep trying for that Ent. rate though, I HATE paying a lot more than other people for the same exact room!!!:(

I booked a room at the RPR for March 20-22 and it was $206 per night with AAA. I then found a special on the Loews web site that got it down to $179. I finally ended up buying an annual pass since we are going at least twice probably three times this year and needed that ticket and got the rooms for $99 a night. If you can not get ahold of a fan club card or ent card you might look at how many nights you are staying. You might find it is worth the price of the annual pass for what you can save on the rooms. Be sure and do your math first.

We did, it was the only discount available right on a holiday. We are staying at the HRH on dec 25 & 26, leaving the 27th.
For two night we got a total of ~$490 with taxes.

High, but I'll keep searching during the year hoping a promotion brings the price down.

Can someone tell me about the fan club, ent. card and also explain the loews card? thanks-- i'm new at all this! thanks, Jama

the ent card is what you get when you buy the entertainment book for your town which has money saving coupons for restaurants, movies, hotels etc. you can purchase online at www.entertainment.com for $20-$30. They were running a special in Jan of $10 off and free shipping. You could buy one for orlando if your town doesn't have one. you don't need to have it to reserve, you just show your card at check in. these rates are sometimes over half off. For my april trip, the website had 229/night. after calling over a couple weeks, got ent rate for $125 this was for HRH. They add avail all the time, so keep trying. My book was $15 and free shipping. well worth it to have saved $700 for my 7 night trip!

The loews card is free through their website. it entitles you to a free gift in your room like fresh fuit, milk and cookies, or wine. your choice. You may be able to get upgrades with loews card. it talks about it on their website at www.loewshotels.com.

the fan club card is offered through your employer. i believe there is some one on the boards that could get you one if you want. check the old threads.

just checked ent website. they are still offering $10 off and free shipping as of 2-15-03.

I just made reservations today at RPH for Dec 20-26. I asked for AAA, Entertainment and annual passholder discounts and AAA was the only discount available for this time period. For the first 4 nights the rate is $143 and the last two nights it jumps to $197. I was told without AAA discount the rates would have been $179/$219. I'm going to keep checking periodically to see if any better rates become available.

The year I was able to get 50% off HRH using Entertainment I made my reservation on Jan 3, and bought the book when it went down by $10. Pretty much, you need to call in the first week of the year to get that rate. By the end of January they are all booked. The have very few rooms available at that rate and they fill up fast.

It is best to book early, use whatever discount is available and then just keep your eyes open during the year...

I'm not sure if I am understanding your post correctly. Are you saying that all entertainment rates come out in January and sell out by the end of January? I have not found that to be true at all. It seems to me they continue to release more ER's depending on hotel occupancy. Also a few times when I have checked, rates were not even offered as it was too soon. I'm sure it has much to do with the season and how busy they anticipate it will be. Just trying to learn something new....thanks:)

When I made my reservations yesterday, the woman that was helping me said that AAA rates were the only discounts that had been released for December so far, and for me to keep calling back periodically to check on other rates that my become available. Has anyone else gotten a better discount for that time period (12/20-12/26)?
