Did anyone take their dog to work yesterday? (Maybe debate)

I too, am a dog lover. In general, I think it's inappropriate. The one poster who had the business trip/kennel story...well, that might be an exception, particularly if it was later in the evening when there were few people in your building and your dog was confined to your office(except for entering and exiting the building) and I assume was a well-behaved animal.

They won't let Monty Dog in the building.

I wouldn't mind if they said it was "for health reasons".

But they told me there were no health reasons. He just could not come in because he was a distraction. Two of my co-workers bring their loud, screaming toddlers in often. The kids come to my desk, take my stuff, bug me when I'm on calls etc. So why they are not considered distractions is beyond me.
