Anyone take pics of their snow day? We took some this afternoon. The kids had a hard time with the wind and snow blowing around.;) We're going to try again this weekend. But some turned out great!!:D

Here's my DD and DS.

I'm sure they'll go back to school tomorrow, but more snow is expected next week!;)

Guess the idea of snow - with a day off from school or not - didn't cross my mind as a photo op!

And I had to come in to campus, even though all of our classes were cancelled.

When I first saw the post I thought, maybe someone from DC where they don't get snow that often. But then I saw you're from my own state of Michigan.

It was clear most of the day here but started up with some serious "lake effect" around 2:30.

Stay warm!

I'm a health care worker in a small 120 bed facility. When we have a big snow storm predicted, many of us show up with air mattresses and sleeping bags, extra scrubs, junk food and PJ's because we know we are there for the duration. I meant to take my digital with me but I forgot. I knew there would have been some really great photo ops, and there were.

Too bad.

And I was feeling sorry for myself having to report to campus when classes were cancelled.

At least I get to go home tonight! You have my DEEPEST sympathy!

Yikes...You both have my sympathy. :( Nothing worse than having to get out in yucky weather for whatever reason. I hate driving in this kind of weather. I don't mind snow, it's just when the roads are all drifted or when they haven't been plowed. So I just go very slowly when I do have to venture out.
It has started snowing again and the wind has picked up....sooooo we'll see how it goes.

I took some too. Not many the wind was so strong it made it feel like it was snowing again! but with tiny little ice pellets! So I didn't want my camera out in that!

We only got a 2hr delay. We had an ice storm. I just got in from cleaning off my car from Tuesday. it took 1hr 15 min. the ice was 1/4" thick Ofcourse I let the heater from the car do most of the work. the doors were frozen shut. boiling water thaws ice fast. Best Part DH is in Sunny Florida. While I am here wit 12,8,7 He left on the 9 th I had a full tank of gas and I still have more than 1/2 left. Bad weather kept me home. I couldn't even empty the check book:(

i just couldn't bring myself to let the kids play outside long enough to take pics. It is just so cold and icy and windy. They are only 3 and 4 and just walking in snow boots is tricky enough. I did get some good ones during the first snow though so I don't feel bad. and sad to say but winter is not over yet so there is still a chance for more. (oh please no!)

Didn't take any here either. Told the kids they had to go out and one DS forgot mittens and snow pants at school and other DS just told me his zipper is broken. BOYS!!!! COuldn't send them out not prepared. Well, this is Michigan in winter so I am sure there will be more opportunities.

I did get a few pics a couple weeks ago with the kids sledding and skating on our pond. We just moved into a new house with a pond and DH went out and bought kids skates. Need to get some for us too, but will have to wait. Maybe when they are on clearance. atleast DD wears the same size as me and we can share.:D
