Did anyone see Wishes on Fri 2/7?

I know, strange question. We mistakenly saved Wishes for our last night and wouldn't you know the weather was crummy. The strange thing was that you couldn't see the fireworks! I don't know if it had to do with the clouds or if there was fog but it was very odd. People were just looking around at each other seeing if something had gone wrong. I was actually surprised they didn't cancel them or stop them. It can't be a cheap production!

Yeah. we were there 1/25-2/8 an in MK that night. there were a couple nights like that. The sky would just glow whatever color and the only fireworks we could actually see were the low ones at the beginning of "Friend Like Me".
We were just so grateful that our Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise wasn't on one of those nights, I would have been so bummed.

Low clouds/high fog situation.

Once the fireworks are loaded in the mortars, they must be fired, so they do so
except under the most extreme weather conditions.

As long as there are guests in the park, they might as well see the what there is visible of the "show" as best they can.

Yep, we were there! Having seen Wishes many times, it wss truly bizarre to watch it and not see the fireworks! We were even behind the castle and couldnt see any of the ones that were shot of behind the park! And with hearing the noise of them back there, but not seeing it, it was very disorienting.

Felt really bad for those who only had that one night as a chance to see them.

We were there and my daughter ended up walking around to another area just to make sure that we weren't missing them because we were so close to the castle. We had heard the castle may block some of the fireworks. We could see the few that were shot off right by the castle though.

You have just made me feel SO much better!!! I was there on 2/7, didn't want to get into the mob on Main Street, and so on advice from the Dis walked around to the Tomorrowland Bridge area to watch Wishes - I couldn't figure out why I couldn't see very much of anything! (It was crummy weather; 7 pm MSEP was delayed for a while because of the rain. But I did get a really good spot for that in Frontierland.)
