I thought it was a very interesting show and I'm glad I watched it. I'm 38 and I started noticing some "changes" in the last 2 years. I listened with great interest about "peri-zappers" and I decided to order some of the recommended minerals. I want to give them a try to see if I notice a difference. I'm not very good at remembering to take meds (even vitamins), so we'll see how I do.

Have any of you ladies, in my age bracket, noticed any changes yet?

Thanks for the link - I'll have to check it out. I am 43 and have noticed some changes, mostly with the mood swings. I have been exercising regularly lately and that has helped, but some vitamins might help more.

Jill~ I guess we are the only ones that have noticed "changes"!;) :p

What do you mean #$%@#$^@$ mood swings? Who has mood swings....I'm 43, too, and I don't notice any changes (hey, open the windows, its too hot, never mind, now I am cold again).....

.....read a new journal article that said these changes are "just due to age, not hormones".....like to see the guy say THAT to his wife!

I've noticed it for a while...I'd say since I turned 40. I don't understand why no one talks about it. I tell people I am in perimenopause and they tell me I'm too young and change the subject.

Why is menopause such a taboo for women? I used to work with a woman who was going through menopause and would freeze us out, literally. She would sit under her office with the air conditioner vent blowing on her complaining that she was hot. She would also get insulted when I told her to get some hormones before she gave us pnuemonia....

Even my gynie blew me off last year when I told him that I was perimenopausal. It seems as though if you aren't skipping periods it must be in your head.

I do find when it gets really bad that taking some estroven helps but that is mostly when I can't sleep at night.....

Hi Rita...DH wanted me to tape it, and I completely forgot....so I guess since HE was more interested in it than I was, I must be guilty of certain symptoms:rolleyes: Thanks for the link, we will BOTH check it out, I am 40, 41 in July and I have noticed a few physical changes...with the year we've been having tho, I guess I was attributing it more to stress than anything else, maybe not!;)

I was diagnosed as perimenopausal at age 35. It's been 6 years now. I did pretty well on the pill, but had to go off due to high blood pressure. I tried hormones and boy was the dose off - I thought I was going crazy. I'll have to look up that link and see if I can find any help!
