I avoided this movie like the plague.

I finally forced myself to watch it lastnight on HBO, and I loved it!

I already like Jeff Bridges, but was unsure of the plot, and Spiderman being a jockey! ;)

But it all came together nicely!

*edited to correct a typo!* :o

loved it!! :)
I didnt want too like it either but I really did.

The book was SOOOOOO good I can't bring myself to watch the movie!

Oh clutter, go ahead! Give it a try!

The best part is when they see War Admiral for the first time, It is an awesome horse.

I absolutely love this movie. It is actually one of DH's favorites. We saw it in the theater one night because whatever we wanted to see was sold out. I actually had to stop myself from standing and cheering during one of the races--I know it sounds silly, but seeing it in the theater was incredible and people actually applauded during the movie and at the end. We bought the DVD when it was first released and watched it on HBO last night as well. I highly recommend this movie to anyone!

One of my all-time faves! And that is saying a lot, since I'm a huge fan of the movies. :)

I fell madly in love with Toby McGuire in that movie. What a good actor he is!

My daughter went to a horse farm in KY and saw the horse who was Seabiscuit in the movie. Here's a pic she got. What a beautiful animal.

great movie, but there is such a difference between seeing in on the big screen and seeing it on a tv. the scenery so was grand and stunning in the theatre! much less so on a smaller tv, at least on our 27".

I loved the book, too, but read it after seeing the movie.

I disliked the first half of the movie so much that my mom and I almost walked out on it.

If you could get rid of everything up until he gets Seabiscuit the horse, then I would have liked it. After the racing starts, it turned into a great movie.

I loved the book!

The movie was good. I wasn't disappointed since I am such a huge fan of the book. :)

I thought it was great. I watched it last night too and after did a little search on the web and came across this web site

It has some neat stuff on it, including the original radio call of that match race versus War Admiral.

Quite a story!

What an amazing movie. Its all about redemption and triumph over adversity. It had moments of excitment, despair, humor and inspiration, all of which were done well. I would not have been upset if this film had beaten out Return of the King for best picture.

Yes it is, and about second chances!

I cracked up at one of the radio announcers comments; "who is this horse going to race now, Pegasus?" LOL! I might not have the exact working, but it was something to that affect!

Great movie!

Thanks for posting that link Oldkicker!

And that photo, beautiful animal, indeed!!

I saw it in the theaters, I thought it was really good!:teeth:

Yes I loved it. It was wonderful. I have seen it twice on HBO and I also rented it. I agree the first part in the beginning was boring though

I loved it so much, I went out and purchased it! I'd put it right up there with one of my favorites like Cider House Rules and Shawshank Redemption.

Shawshank Redemption, another one of my all time favorites!
