Did anyone hit Target today?

We went yesterday and I got a couple of things, but wanted to hold out for 75% off. It wasn't enough off to go nuts and buy more clutter to fill my garage for only 50% off. I think the trees were gone and people were buying stuff like crazy, but still a lot of stuff and I hope there will be something left when it goes to 75% or 90%. I hope someone will post on the board if they find out ahead of time when it goes down again.

People were crazy at our Target. I think the secret is out as well, gone are the days of 75% as there was not much left after one day at 50%. Even the candy was almost gone.

ours had a ton of Christmas items left - nothing that I don't want until it hits 75% Te best deal was the Glad trash bags. Got those for 2.49 for a 45ct box. Plus used coupons. I don't need trash bags for the rest of the year!

I got those too, didn't have any coupons with me though, darn it. I got a really nice fleece throw for $9.99 and some really cute mugs and other ceramic things from the Dollar Spot for 50 cents. I also got green extension cords for 64 cents. I hit two Targets in VA near my sisters house and they still had lots left. My friend and I are going to hit the ones here in Columbia and Ellicott City today.

One bit of advise, you never know where you will see Holiday Clearance. After Halloween I went down the snack aisle and on the bottom shelf there were the 8 pack of individual Halloween Pringles. I got them for 25 cents, at 90% off. I found that out here on the Dis. :teeth:

I was pretty underwhelmed by what was available. I just bought some wrapping paper and gift tags and called it a day. Oh, and red and green m&ms of course. Can't forget those.

I got there about 8:30am, it was pretty empty.

Our Target was a zoo at 8:30. Some people had 2 carts full of stuff. At just 50% off, I just didn't get it.

I did get exactly what I was looking for. 3 Fabulous Disney Stockings for $4.99 each. One each of Minnie, Mickey & Pluto. I am sure they would have been $20+ at the parks and they are just perfect for our first Holiday trip to the World next December.

Now if I could only find 2 more......

Ours was picked over and a mess yesterday. I needed some odds and ends and wasn't specifically clearance shopping, so we headed out.

The store looked like a bomb had hit it, but there was a fair amount of stuff- I almost bought some nice Christmas stockings but we didn't really need them.

I did cave in and buy some Hello Kitty wrapping paper because my sis is a big HK fan, but on the whole, I wasn't very tempted and didn't find any super deals.

Just got back from the Target in Deerfield Beach, FL. Still a fair amount of stuff left at 50% off but I didn't buy anything. Saw a few things I am interested in but I am gonna gamble and hold out for 75% off.

I think inventory control is getting a lot better for Target - better for them, but not us. lol

Here in VA lots of the usual, but I'll be back when it goes to 75% off, too. I have 3 stores within a 50 mile radius. I think 75% starts around January 2nd...YMMV.

I'm broke, so I don't even want to go near any stores. I do need lights though, I only had 1 string of lights for the tree this year. My husband found some lights way back in the basement. They were the old running lights from 10 years ago. I had to exchange bulbs just to make 1 set work. I found out it had 500 lights on it, so our tree looked okay.

I am going to have to gamble and go look for some this coming weekend. My son graduates in June and we put up a big tent and Christmas hanging lights work the best. Knowing my luck, I won't find any.

I got the Crest Whitestrips Premium gift pack with mouthwash and toothpaste for $20 and had a $5 coupon. Just the strips retail for around $27 so I was happy with that. Went back today and picked up one of those bucket drink mixes where you pour in the alcohol and freeze the whole bucket. It was a cosmoplitan. There weren't many of those left but they had lots of peppermint martinis and frosted egg nog. Those sounded weird to me. I didn't even buy any wrapping paper - didn't see any I had to have. I came across a creme brulee set (DCL spoiled me and now I crave creme brulee) for $9.99 but I think I'll wait for 75% off. Hopefully someone will let us all know when that happens.

Today I found a lot of track pants-6.58- long sleeve shirts6.28(but they were Napoleon Dynamite)-and long sleeve cotton pajamas 2pr-12.50-in the boys section on clearance- these are good prices, considering ds is 12 1/2,and clothes in his size don't come cheap and easy like in little boys sizes... they were all about a size 14- :cool1:
Walmart's long sleeve winter boys clothes were all on clearance too-

I got Christmas party bags, small cupcake papers, 4 rolls of parchment paper (1.99 a roll) A Wilton cookie gun for 7.50, some candy for the jar on my desk at work........everyone seems to know where that is and can't keep it stocked,(DH loves chocolate covered cherries, so got 3 boxes at .74 each) Krusteaz cookie mixes, Betty Crocker (or Pillsbury, can't remember which) Christmas cake mix (.49) and frosting with the little packet of Christmas sprinkles on top (.66) ...and baked one on the 26th afternoon for FIL's birthday. All in all, spent $50. Lots of stuff left, may have to go back tomorrow or so to see what's left.

I went again tonight and got some more stuff.

Really pretty gift boxes for $1.49 each, not the folded up ones.
A Wilton fluted bundt pan for $4.99.
A box of Ghirardelli cookie mixes for $2.99.
A candy cane of Playdough with the mini containers for $1.49
Viva paper towel placemats for $1.49

And the coolest thing of all, as I was walking through the electronics section they had the DVD player I got my mother for Christmas on sale. Went to customer service and got back $15. Whoo Hoo!!! :cheer2:

DH was off from work yesterday so we took a day trip to a larger city two hours away. I was SHOCKED! The store was fully stocked with Christmas items-all at 50% off. YEAH!! We found lots of GREAT deals. I bought a red king sized fleece blanket for $9.99, Fisher Price Peek a Boo blocks, Rudolph ViewMasters, Duncan YoYos, Nestle Turtles, Keebler cookies, and lots of stocking stuffers.

I got some Pooh wrapping paper, gift tags, and tissue paper for next year, but that was about it for the Christmas stuff. I'm so glad I got all the classic Pooh Christmas things I wanted last year in the after Christmas sales as they were gone pretty early before Christmas this year. I also found a lot of classic Pooh infant clothes on clearance for 50% off.

I found a Tinkerbelle snow globe yesterday for half price. I couldn't believe they still had one left on the 27th.

When does everything go to 75% off? There are some dishes I have my eye on.

I went at lunch and there really wasn't a WHOLE lot. i'd like a creme brulee set, but don't want to pay $10 for it when all I need is the torch, I could probably just get the torch, haha. I will get it if it goes to 75%. There were several other things that I'd get at 75% but dont' really want at 50%. I got 5 of the 32 gal. storage containers though for $6 on sale.

Oh and I noticed that the glade oil things, the christmas scents are 50% off as well as the air wick oil refills. I'll get some of those at 75% off as well, if there are any left.

well, we were at WDW on the 26th and came home yesterday. So I went out today (the 28th) to grocery shop and pick up a few essentials.

At Target I got a pack of 100 poker chips for $7.50, and some lotion from the dollar aisle (50 cents) for dd. I also got a pack of 5 hot sauces for $6.50, for my dad for Xmas (we are celebrating tomorrow). Then a box of chocolate covered cherries for dh for $1.49 (I forgot to buy them for him!!!) and 3 packs of red and pink tissue paper for Valentines Day, to use with my preschoolers (50cents each)

I am waiting for 75% off, to see if I can get a nice poker set for ds, and there are some ties that you use on your trunk, when it's overfull, for stocking stuffers next year for some of the men in the family.
