Did anyone go in DEC. with a discount other than AAA?

Just wondering if I'm grasping at straws here. We specifically booked check-in at Pop on the last day of Value season...Dec. 19th, 2007 to get the value rate for our 10 day stay. On Dec. 20th, rates jump to the Holiday season. I'm just wondering if Disney offered any discounts for the dates just before the rate hike last year. Anyone know of anything?

We had an AP rate last year from Dec. 17-23.

I got to use the 40% off room only discount from Dec 18th - Jan 1st for 49.00 nightly! I have a second reservation for Jan 1st - Jan 4th as you could only book 14 days at 40% off.

We have always had an AP rate for our December trips.

We had an AP rate for 12-23 to 12-26 last year at GF. We always check in one or two days before Christmas and always get the AP rate for our stay.

That is good to know. I am buying AP both for myself and my DS. We are going to be at Disney 18 days and then are planning a trip in 2008 from Oct 30th - Nov 15th.

Is there a good chance AP will be around that for Halloween?

We stayed at FW Cabins from 19th Dec last year for 7 nights with AP rate which was $75 off. Staying the same time this year at SSR with the 40% off. We didn't have a pin and there wasn't one against our name but CM gave us the discount, no problem. As far as I remember they did offer general code last year for the that period and was roughly the same amount off.

I'm traveling this summer and will not have access to a computer. I'm worried that a code will come out for limited availability and I will completely miss it. Did anyone use a code last December and do you remember when it was offered?

My family stayed at Coronado Springs from 12/16 to 12/26/06. I got a package code that brought the room portion down to $99/standard room (before tax); the code came out on August 17th.

Well this year will be our first time at WDW in December but we got the 40% off code for AKL - Savannah view with bunks for 185.00 a night.Thats 125.00 off per night.... a pretty darn good deal lol.

I'm also trying to figure out what to expect the rate to be after discount. What type of discount is it? 20% 30%??? We are thinking of staying at AKL for a few days to do the MVMCP and I'm trying to figure out what type of discount we can expect. We are FL resident's, which is usually about the same as the AP discount.

IIRC, it was 30% off in regular season and 20% off when you crossed into value season.So if your going in early Dec. its probably going to be in the neighborhood of 20%.
