Did anyone go in DEC. with a discount other than AAA?

Last year a discount came out in August for December time frame. I remember because I had banked on the discounts not coming out until later like the year before but it happened when I was computerless and on vacation in Cape Cod!! (2nd week of Aug) This taught me to NEVER be computerless again.... anyways, I managed to get the discount but not on the resort I originally had booked as they went first (WL) so I took the discount on the Poly - and we loved it. It turned out to be exactly $400.00 more for the 10 days then what I was paying rack rate at the WL in a Woods view. For the 10 days with PH, dining for 2 adults and 2 kids we payed $5000. I know it wasnt a big discount like the current 40% but if was better than nothing! Good luck.

My DH & I booked one of the package discounts (w/dining) that came out in October for WL 12/17 -12/20, then used a FL Res rate for 1 night at BWI 12/20-12/21. This was NOT the best way (cheapest ) way to book this as we are FL Res and usually always just go with FL Res rates, but I wanted to experience the DDP one time and so had to get a package to do that.

I was on a AAA rate for my campsite at Ft. Wilderness in December. AP rates were offered for campsites, but were HIGHER than the AAA rate, so I declined.

We went Dec 18-28 and stayed at the GF w\ a code for only a 1000 dollars more than staying at a mod. the year before...That includes df of 5 with DDP....We are hoping and praying for another code or moderates here we come.

Steppie: We were at GF at the same time as you with the discount. Were you as un-impressed with GF as I was? My family was really dissappointed with the whole experience and have decided this year it's AKL CL.
