If so, did they add a second show? And any idea when the FPs sold out for the first (or only) show?

Any idea when people started lining up to enter Paradise Park for the 8:15 show?
We went to WOC tonight. We were at DCA at opening at 10:00. My husband went to get WOC and Screamin' FP while I took the boys on Soarin'. He said there were about 30 people in front of him for the WOC FP, but we got the yellow section. I thought getting there on time we would get blue. By the time he came back to meet us at 10:30 the WOC FP line was all the way back to Soarin'. I don't know what time they ran out of WOC FP.
There was only one WOC show tonight at 8:15. We arrived around 7:25 to get into our section so I don't know how early people were lining up. There was a preshow at 7:45. WOC was a lot of fun, we really enjoyed it.
The crowds were super light today, we rode everything we wanted with 15 minute or less wait, most rides were walk ons. We got some FP for rides but didn't even use them since the walk on was so short. Great day at Disneyland!
Thanks for the update! We'll be there in 2 weeks- yay!
When your WoC FP is issued are you still able to get a FP for other rides right away or do you have to wait the window of time like a traditional FP?
You can get a FP for other attractions right away.
(see what a genuis i am?) they directed me to go buy a picnic lunch and those were sold out. sooo... im probably going to get the dinner at aeriels. ive never Woc from prefered dining so there is a plus. also lines are light but could be because im at back and toy story is down for refurb. Thanks for the feedback.here at dca now. arrived at 10:05. being the genuis that i am i decided to ride soaring before getting woc fps because it was walkon and i didnt want blue fps. so i end up riding soaring twice and get to the woc fp distribution area at 10:45 and they were sold out(see what a genuis i am?) they directed me to go buy a picnic lunch and those were sold out. sooo... im probably going to get the dinner at aeriels. ive never Woc from prefered dining so there is a plus. also lines are light but could be because im at back and toy story is down for refurb.

Yesterday the WOC Fastpasses ran out at 11:15.
Today Thursday, 09/09 they ran out earlier at about 10:25.
With only one or two shows, the fastpasses are returning to close to the origional times which are about as fast as they can issue with all 6 machines working. They are apparently selling and/or reserving more WOC Picnic lunches that the also get either a Blue or Yellow Fastpass.
There is now little reason to visit California Adventure with much of DCA shut down or walled off: Aladdin/Hyperion, Sunshine Plaza, P.T. Feas, Bountiful Farmers Market, The Irrigation Station, Shakes, (Tortilla Factory is also closed) Toy Story, Maliboomer, Pizza Oom Mow Mow, McDonalds, Corn Dog Stand, Route 66, Golden Dreams/Airels conversion, etc.
The World of Color is nearly the only reason to go the DCA, and they are cutting this off within 1/2 hour of the Park opening on weekdays?
FastPass Information:
Very Rough Fastpass distribution times at GRR:
(Be in line 20-30 minutes before the below times)
1st show (9:00pm)
9:00 - 9:50 = Blue
9:50 - 10:15 = Yellow
10:15 - 10:45 = Red
2nd Show (10:15pm)
10:45 in the same order:
Ask a Cast member and they will tell you when (after) they change.
They do not know this ahead of time, as there are too many variables.
Picnic Box:
Orderd ahead of the day you get the 1st show Blue or Yellow
Purchased the same day you get the 2nd show Blue or Yellow
(IF scheduled)
Reserved Dining
Early Reservations = 1st Show that day
Later Reservations = 2nd Show that day...
(IF Scheduled)
I don't think it's fair to say that the infrequent visitor is completely screwed.
They have an equal chance to buy their Picnic Meal 30 days in advance. That is a reasonable thing, unlike having their only shot be the FP machines on the day of.
The infrequent visitor usually will plan ahead, unlike us random AP holders and locals, who often do things on a whim.![]()
