Did anyone get the VGT/GTY assignments for either DEC 1 or DEC 15?

*GT assignments typically show up about 10-14 days out from the cruise. Usually on a Tuesday.

I am on 12/15 and don't expect an assignment until the week of 12/3. If it comes earlier I will be pleasantly suprised. If it comes later, life goes on.

OP, VGT and GTY are two completely different animals.

GTY is for a specific category (like 9C), and those are at regular fare and (as long as booked outside of the PIF date fully cancellable). And generally those are assigned earlier - like around 50 days out.

*GT (IGT, OGT, VGT) are restricted fares that are non-refundable and must be paid in full at the time of booking. As @PrincessShmoo said, those are generally assigned no more than 2 weeks out. They can be assigned as late as at the port though.

We got our assignment last Thursday (11/29). We booked VGT and got 5A!
