Did anyone get Mama Melrose FDP today?

We made our first ever ADR's today online at 6am. We were able to get EVERYTHING we wanted at the date/time that we wanted EXCEPT Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package. We tried exactly at 6am & it was already gone for 8/28/11. We were able to get a 5pm ressie but not the package. Did anyone else have success today? Oh well, we're still sooo excited about the others:

I made ADR's today too!

I was able to get Mama Melros F! package but only for lunch at 2:45 for 5 people. I also tried exactly at 6:00 am and couldn't get anything at all - in fact I got logged out of the site repeatedly and finally switched to another computer at 6:30 and was able to book everything with no problems. I didn't book the Fantasmic package untill about 6:45, I was panicing and booked everything else first since I was having so much trouble.

Did you check for lunch? I think there was an earlier lunch choice when I booked. Keep trying - you never know if someone will cancle!

I noticed you're going to Les Chefs - we are too. I got 5:00 on 8/30 - just in time to see Remy!!

I would have been able to have MM for lunch on 9/1 but I chose Brown Derby instead. Had the choice of 2:45 lunch or 4:05 "Linner" for BD ... we chose the Linner.

Hopefully something will open up for you on the 28th. Crazy how fast they book up!

I tried to look at 9/1 but it was blocked out, I couldn't even click on the date! Did you book on-line or over the phone?

I booked online right at 6am. I changed to date to 9/1 and it accepted it. I printed out the email confirmation & confirmed everything looks ok. I saw that the date was not 'clickable' as well so decided to see what would happen if I just typed it in and it worked!

I tried to change the date by typing it in also and when I hit search it reverted back to February! At least I got the 28th!

Happy Anniversary to you too, ours was actually 2/15 but my FIL gave us his points as an anniversary gift and Feb and march were booked completely, so we decided to take the whole family in the summer!

I originally had that problem too. How big is your party? We are traveling with seven people and at first it was saying that there was no availibilty. I decided just to see if there was room for a party of four. There was at 2:30, so I booked that. I then tried for a party of three and there was availabilty at 2:35. Go figure. We don't mind splitting up at all. Just don't want to wait in line for 1.5 hours in the August heat. Maybe you could try splitting your reservation. Just a thought.

ThreeKMom - no, we've never done Remy before but my girl is "in love" with him. I've heard he isn't guaranteed so I really hope he's there that night! Our anniversary is actually in May so we're having a belated celebration too & also taking the whole fam Enjoy your trip!!

I did the same thing (right at 6am also) and was able to get the F! at Mama Melrose's on 9/1 for 4:55pm. I was very pleasantly surprised.


Was also able to get just about everything that I wanted - the only "problem" was not getting the ideal times for LeCellier & 'Ohana, but I got the dates I wanted. Got dinners at LeCellier (twice), Ohana, San Angel Inn, Via Napoli, Cape May, and Rainforest Cafe (at AK closing). For breakfasts, got CRT, Tusker House and Cape May (twice).

I really loved the online system this morning! I thought it was very user friendly. I was able to get everything within a few minutes of the times we wanted including a lunch at Le Cellier. I have even already made a few changes! Wonder how many I will make (or try to make) between now & August!

It did work great this morning. I know there have been reports of it being a little fickle some days, but thankfully not today. It's much better now that you can book everything online (like F!, CRT, dessert party, etc.).

I hope to not make too many changes, if any, but I have a feeling I'll be playing around and checking availabilities all the way until I'm on my way to the airport.

BTW, for curiousity, I just checked and the F! package is still avabilable at MM for 4:45pm.

I sure couldn't get any of those tricks to work. We wanted to do the Fantasmic! dinner package for 9/1 at Mama Melrose's, and it was grayed out right when I checked this morning. Then, I tried the trick that a lot of people were talking about (hand type in 9/1/2011), but every time you leave the box, it reverted to 3/3/2011. So, I guess we were not meant to do this package.

I'll keep checking from time to time. I just wonder why some can manually change the date to 9/1 and it stays while others cannot. I also found it strange that NOTHING was available for lunch or dinner at ANY of the restaurants for 9/1 for F! dinner package (again, every date beyond 8/28 was completely grayed out).

But, most of my other reservations I was able to get close to what I wanted, so I am satisfied. Now, there is a long wait for 180 days to pass (maybe I'm getting more excited than my 7 year old daughter!)

FIGURED IT OUT!! OK... there are still openings for F! dinner packages on 9/1. As I mentioned, I tried replacing the date with 9/1/2011 (making it appear in the same format as what Disney shows. However, what you need to put in for a date is: 09/01/2011 (with the zeros in front) and then it won't revert back to a different date when leaving the box.

As of just before 10:00pm, MM had many dinner and lunch reservations available for F! package. I ended up going with a lunch. As we will have already spent a different day at Hollywood Studios (hopefully with a lighter crowd), we'll just go there for lunch that day and probably back to the hotel for some swimming. That particular Thursday was our "Nothing Scheduled Day / Day of Relaxation" anyway!

So, don't give up hope... go back and try again if you need a reservation!

Just checked on-line Mama Melrose had a F! dinner available for 5 people at 4:00 on 9/1 if anyone is still looking!
