Did anyone get a FD pin today or Yesterday?

I know its frustrating when you really want a pin and see everyone else getting one. We have been 4 times in the last 5 years and every time I pray for a pin but it never comes. This time I didn't even consider or count on one, just budgeted for the S/P/D and to my surprise I got one.

Our original booking under SPD was for POFQ. I was surprised we were able to get French Quarter. When my dad received a PIN in the mail, he said he would rather pay more to stay at FQ, so if the PIN didn't work there, we were just going to stay with the SPD. I called on Saturday... and we were able to keep our reservations at French Quarter with free dining! Woo hoo!

2 rooms, 6 people.... it saved us over $600.00!

I'm new at this. How do you receive a pin? Email? Letter? Phone? Is it a three digit number or longer? I read that one of them is a marketing ploy that just gives you the currant public discount. Does it say 'free dining' or '20% off room only' type of thing?

You could get an e-mail, a snail mail or nothing at all. Sometimes you'll have one "attached" to your name/address and receive nothing at all. You can always call in and check with a CM to see if you're lucky. We're planning our 22nd trip and have NEVER gotten one, but my sister who has been a total of 1 time, gets them ALL THE TIME!!! It's a longer number and you will definitely know it if you get one! Good luck!

Thanks for the info! I'm not really expecting one because I've only stayed on property once, just recently. All those trips, YOU deserve one!
