Inspired by some comments on another thread-
If I go to the SWA website and use the "lower fare" calendar, it looks like no Promotional or Internet fares available for 12/20-1/2. So here's the question...Did anyone get one of those fare for those dates (for OLRANDO) or can we safely deduce that they were never made available?

Needless to say, this only applies to those flying to WDW for December break

The only internet fares available were for the last flight of the day, which we're not doing with kids. Other than that, only advanced purchase tickets available, in other words, full fare. And they are high!

I didn't get anything like $79 flights, but will watch Ding and fare sales and hope for cheaper flights and a better return flight time.

Wondering the same thing...I booked this morning and got 99.00 for Dec. 17th from MCI to MCO. My return trip the 27th had no cheap options. I thought I had just missed them all, but now wondering if there were any at all to be had. I got a round trip ticket with taxes for 270.00. Not great, but could have been worse at Christmas. Hope a sale comes along. I chose SW for the first time because last year I flew Airtran. They had a sale, and I couldn't adjust my ticket without a 50.00 change fee. I booked with SW mostly for the option of changing without a fee and the direct flights. Now all I need is a sale. Yeah, I know, don't hold my breath with gas prices going sky-high. A girl can always dream.

I am back to school now and was stuck in a meeting all day. When we broke for lunch, I called and was given the full rate fares. No promotional fares available. There are five of us and I am not paying full fare totaling $1710.00.
I will diligently watch ding and hope for pixie dust to make us fly instead of drive.

I got $79/each way from Midway(Chicago) to MCO on Friday 12/16 ro Friday 12/23!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited!!! I'm glad I waited for SW, since all the other airlines were over $300 RT -- big savings for a family of 5. :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

I was able to book an internet fare (BUF-MCO) $99 Dec 17 OW.
BUT for Dec 31 (DH only) all the less expensive fares were unavailable and had to book at a fun fare $133 OW.
Not sure if I should book my Jan 7 fares (me, DD, DS) yet or not (MCO-BUF) internet fare $99.

Lucky you! We are going 12/17 and return on 12/24. I could get the same fare if we went later and took a flight with a stop. We prefer nonstop flights. So I am using rapid rewards on the 17th and got $79 on the 24th.

What time did they release the fares this morning? I didn't check until 9:10 am. I should have checked when I got up at 6:00 am.

I'm going in sept. SWA opened up flights in early May. MCI to MCO like $115 one way. So, I waited. Finally saw a $99 deal from STL about a week later. Booked as I'm 3 hours from either MCI or STL. About a week later an STL Ding deal for $86 came out. I cancelled and rebooked, having a little left over in ticketless travel funds. Then, a couple weeks later, MCI finally came down to $99. I decided to change over to MCI so I could stay the night before with relatives. So, I cancelled the STL Ding deal and used both those funds and the TT funds for the MCI trip. Done. Nope, not yet. A couple weeks later MCI came out with a Ding deal for $91. I cancelled and rebooked. I think I had $40ish in TTF. I called SWA long distance and they refunded my CC. Then, on July 5 (this is 2 months after opening the time slots and a little more than 2 months before my trip), $59 airfare sale! Woohoo! I again cancelled and rebooked. Since we had 6 tickets, this was a savings of $400! So, what do I do? Yep, I called SWA again and asked for refund and they did it! I love SWA!

The only option available at 9:30 this morning was the full fare refundable ISP to MCO for 12/23 to 1/2. Yikes, it was $1,887 for 5. I sure hope something cheaper opens up between now and then.

I checked on 12/17 and there weren't any cheap flights in the morning, so we are going Friday night (12/16) and get in aroung 9pm, then we'll have a full day on Saturday. We are also coming back late on 12/23 and all the times had the cheap fares. We only do NS flights too.

BTW -- I didn't book the flights until almost noon. When I checked in the morning, there were a lot more restricted flights, but at noon, almost all were available. Go figure?! I'm also watching DING to see if I can do any better (probable not due to our return being X-mas weekend).
