When we went to MGM on Saturday April 2nd, we rode the RnR, and when it came to the end we were waiting for the coaster in front to move so we could exit. All of the sudden the music goes off, the house lights come on, and silence.....

Next we here the overhead speaker saying they are switching to "manual mode" and then we heard voices coming from behind us. (Now I was in the last seat, no one else was behind me.) All of the sudden three guys appear and had to get us out!

After releasing the locked down harnesses, we had to get out, line up in a line, then WALK UNDER THE TRACK!
That was so awesome, seeing the entire track with the lights on! The CM's did not want anyone snapping pics, but you know those camera phones! So some people were. You have no idea how much twisted metal is in that little building!

Just wondering if anyone else got to experience this! :teeth:

If the trains got too far backed up, or the ride e-stopped with trains in the main building the guests had to be manually evacuated, depending on where the stop was (there are several break zones, including one quite a few flights of stairs up), if inside the main building, to get back to load/unload you do have to walk under/through the track. Supposedly they added cameras to avoid the evacuations, but I havn't been back in a few years.

I've climbed those stairs to that brake zone. Quite a hike. Pretty impressive view though.
