I was watching one last night... it might have been the same one. The imaganeer guy that had the long hippy hair and the twelve pounds of earing in his left ear, but in this one he is in a buttoned up shirt with short hair and a much smaller earing.

That's Joe Rohde. He is one of the primary designers of the AK, and was the head imagineer for EE.

When some friends and I were at the Animal Kingdom in December, we were walking past Flame Tree BBQ towards Expedition Everest when lo and behold, Joe Rohde walks right by us in the opposite direction. We all kind of gasped and one of my friends said something like, "Hey there's that guy from the travel channel shows". The earring was a dead giveaway. We left him alone, but we were so star-struck that you'd think we had just seen Bono walk by or something.

Later in the day we saw that they were filming some kind of program over by Expedition Everest, and that he was there for that. Towncrier/John stood around there for the longest time and finally met Joe, chatted with him, and had his picture taken with him with Everest in the background. John was one of if not the only person who even noticed who it was and what was going on! He even had him sign an Expedition Everest fast-pass.

I'll send Towncrier a link to this thread, and maybe he'll post his photo. Most people wouldn't care, but I figure some DISers who watch those Travel Channel shows might appreciate that little celebrity sighting .

I LOVE when the travel channel has on Disney World shows. I think I've seen all of them, but if I find them, I'll watch them again.
