I mean MUCH younger siblings/family memebers. Say, 10 yrs younger?

My husband and I are taking our 15-yr old son and 5-yr-old daughter to WDW in November. This will be his 3rd time (although he dosn't remember the previous trips; he was 18 months old and 5 yr old) and the first for his sister. Since the things they'll enjoy are so different, how should I plan my daily activities? Paticularly, how do I keep the 15-yr-old "happy" at the Magic Kingdom?

Thank you all in advance for your responses.

A few years ago when we went to WDW (well this past year too actually), my parents wanted to watch the parade at MK and I didn't, and they told me to meet them back at a certain spot in 1 hour so then I could go on like Splash Mountain and the rides that I liked and they didn't really care for. And this worked out fine! There weren't any lines at all!! I went on Splash Mountain twice w/out getting off!! :)

E-Nights are really fun!! It's where MK is open past the normal closing time and only a few thousand people are let inside the park. I don't know if they have them in November though.

Ok, my favorite part about MK besides the rides is a Dole Whip! It's delicious!! It's sort of like a slushie, but also like forzen yogurt. They're only sold at this stand by the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House. I definately recommend one of these!!

Splash, Space, and Thunder Mountains are really fun!! I think they're all awesome! The Buzz Lightyear ride and the Haunted Mansion are really cool too! And I've never been on Alien Encounter...but I heard it's pretty good! I think most of these rides have fast pass too, so that's even better!

I hope this helped!

just if the 15 year old wants to go do something else...just let him and get him to meet you later

personally...I love MK and FanatasyLand(but then again this is a coming from me...I'm 16 going on 4..I'm SUCH a little kid! lol)

boys are very different people! LOL!

but it shouldn't be hard to keep him happy as long as he gets to do what he really wants to do every once in awhile

My parents said here is you Ticket go where ever you want this is where we will be for dinner... have a great day... and i left and i had a great time!

I agree with letting him go off on his own for a little bit, but there are some rides that they mite both like. Like, Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I think that those 2 rides (and there are probably more that i just cant think of) are rides that everyone would enjoy!:D

We went in October 1999 and there was quite big age differences between all the kids that went, (b/c there was about 3 familys that went) there was one boy (14), 3 girls (two age 11 and one age ten), another boy (7) and a three mounth old baby girl. You should let him go off on his own for a bit if he wants to (but her might not want to!!) and I also agree with Nicole in that theres loads of stuff that they would both enjoy, including rides and shows ect. Hope this helps!!

I agree with everyone else. Let him go on the rides he wants maybe with your husband and you can go on the rides that your daughter wants. You can all meet up at a certain time and do the rides you wanna do together.

you all are of great help. I think I'll let him decide what he really wants to do and let him take off for a little bit. The problem with my husband is that he has motion sickness. The rides he can tolerate are VERY limited. I personally love all kinds of rides; so does my 5-yr-old. If there's no height limits, maybe we all can get on those "exciting" rides.

Maybe my son will enjoy MK more than I think. He still watches cartoons.

Thank you all!

I am having the same situation come up for our next trip. My son is 4 and my niece and nephew are 13 and 16.

I have a better idea. How about if they take my son and I go off and do what I want on my own? After reading some posts and some other resources I have decided that everyone will compromise and have a good time or stay home. JMO
