My youngest will be 18 months when we head to Disney, obviously still in diapers. We are going for 6 days. Should I pack them in our luggage or just buy them at the resort lobby? I figure price is a bit higher, but the gift store might be more convenient? What have you all done in the past regarding diapers?

My dd is still in pullups and I brought them w/ us the resort gift shops are so random w/ what they have that they may not have the size you need the packs will be small and as you said expensive.

Pack them. :) That's our plan. Last time we ordered diapers through We Go Shop and we ended up taking a WHOLE pack back home with us. I really overestimated how many diapers she would go through! This time I'm just bringing a pack with us in the luggage, but splitting it up between our carry-on, my purse, and the suitcase. That way I'm never stuck w/o a diaper, and we've still got enough to last us the trip.

On our trip in 2006 I shipped them! Bought them here and then shipped them to our resort a few days before we left. I used UPS so I could track the package. I don't know if it is still allowed to ship things to the resorts, but that way I saved luggage room. If it is still allowed I will probably do the same thing this time since we have to pay for checked bags and are going for 10 nights.

They aren't a "little" more expensive, they are a LOT more expensive. I ran out of diapers and formula for my ds on his first trip -- I paid a fortune for a can of formula and more for a pack of 12 diapers than what a jumbo pack would have been at home.

We'll be ordering them through gardengrocer.com, but we're DVC and order food so this is most convenient for us.

Diapers are crazy expensive at WDW, and you are limited to Huggies at WDW. The good thing about diapers is that they pack pretty easily. I just take them out of the packaging when packing the suitcase and line the tops and bottoms of the suitcases with them.

Another vote for shipping! We always shipped diapers, wipes, extra bottles or sippy cups and any other specific food items we would need.

I pack enough for two days, just to be safe and shipped the rest. Not that expensive and TOTALLY worth it!

I went to Publix's because we stayed at a timeshare. The price was relatively the same, and I brought coupons with me. I bought a size according to what I anticipated needing. I did put some in the diaper bag that I carried on so I had some extras. I think it's definitely easier that way.

The packages of diapers that are in the gift shops are really small (maybe 12), so you may need to buy a few packs to get through the week - and they are crazy expensive!
We bring our from home - and then use the space for all the extra stuff we bring home with us!

Definitely pack them! Then after you use them up, you have that much more space in your luggage for all of your souveniers.

We're having WeGoShop deliver diapers, wipes, and baby food rather than pack them, to save on the checked bag fees. It is only $17+tip for the delivery and well worth not taking up bag space with all the baby stuff.

I had mine sent (just overnites for Pt'd DS) from drugstore.com. Free shipping on $25 for first order~!

The biggest size they have anywhere at Disney is 4. My rotund 14 month old wears 5's, he can fit in 4's , just not that comfortably. So I underpacked diapers and we had to buy them (expensive too)

I have a vacuum sealer and we put them in the vacuum bags and then put them in our suit case. they take up less room when vacuumed. I make my own wipes so i just get the paper towles ready and vacuum them down small and prepare them when we arrive.

If you have a car, you can just as easily hit walmart when your there. If you are not having a car, i would pack them or ship them. I heard that you sometimes have to settle for the brand and sizes available. That can turn a good Disney day into a bad one. Leaky ill-fitting diapers are a pain in the butt.
