I'm planning a trip to BLT in July with my 1 year old daughter. I was going to use Garden Grocer, because I read such a good reviews, but I realized that we are mostly getting baby supplies and water. Can I use Diapers.com, Amazon or BabiesTravelLite and have them deliver to the resort? Has anyone done this? What is the charge? Where do I pick up the package? Is it reliable?
Thank you for any help you can give me..

We stayed at WL in January, and had all of our baby supplies (diapers, wipes, soaps, etc) and toddler supplies (pull-ups, snacks, etc) shipped to the resort using Jetset Babies. We picked them because they were able to provide exactly what we use (California Baby, Cruisers, Desetin, Dreft). After we placed our order, we received constant updates from them and a tracking number. When the package arrived at the WL, they called to make sure it was received, got a contact name, pickup instructions and then e-mailed everything to us. We did not have a single complaint, and will definitely use them again.

Doing this, and using a couple of Orlando companies for the Crib and Stroller made our vacation with our 1 & 3 year old daughters much easier and more fun than we had been expecting. We also skipped the ME and got a car service to and from the airport.

Packages shipped to BLT, BWV, and BCV are subject to a handling fee based on size and weight. A case of bottled water has been reported have a fee of $10.

Really? Is that only at those resorts? We are going to be at AKL in Oct and were considering using Gardengrocer. In the past we have bought all our food and used one of our suitcases to hold all of our water, cereal, and other such breakfast food.

The fee is for shipped packages, UPS, Fed EX maybe USPS. Not for delivered items like food and flowers, at least not yet. :sad2:

I have shipped water & baby supplies on nearly all of our DVC trips and have never been charged a handling fee of any kind.

My trip last August 2009, I used BabiesTravelLight and shipped diapers, wipes, formula to BWV and the box was waiting for us at check-in. I shipped water from Costco and the package was delivered after I called Bell Services.

My most recent trip March 2010, I used Diapers.com (free shipping!) to ship baby supplies and again, the box was delivered to our room at BLT when we checked in. Again, no fee from the resort of any kind.

I buy stuff from Diapers.com all the time at home and am thrilled by their service. I prefer to buy things from them rather than Amazon.com because they provide a tracking number.

Have a great trip!

I was planning on ordering baby supplies from the grocer we choose to get food items from. I know their prices will probably be a bit higher but after you figure in shipping costs from other places it will probably even out. Plus, we only need to worry about one delivery.

The only time I shipped anything to Disney I used Fedex and just bought the baby supplies at home and shipped them down. I wasn't charged a fee, items were delivered with our luggage. I use Diapers.com at home and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! I wish I had known about them when my older two were little! I place my order and everything is there the next day! As long as you purchase over $49, shipping is free (and who can't do that with a baby!).
