We are Canadian. They dont make or sell Luv's diapers in Canada. My son wears Pampers right now, but we are going on a road trip and will be going through the states.
Now I know that more than likely we will have to stop and get him some diapers sometime on the trip. Ive heard good things about Luv's but was wondering if anyone could tell me about how they fit.
Huggies are too small on DS and Pampers fit just right. How do Luv's measure up? Are they more like Huggies or Pampers?

Thanks everyone, I know luv's usually cost less which means more money for our upcoming WDW trip :)

They are like pampers but more like the baby dry than the cruisers. Luvs doesn't really have a lot of stretch like pampers do. KWIM?

To me at least, Luvs has a very strong scent. I was going to use them on my kids but the smell was way too strong. I actually like the Target brand diapers. I think the store brands fit a little small.

We always used Pampers Cruisers and I tried Luvs because they were quite a bit cheaper. I had horrible luck with both DD and DS. They leaked through every time we used them. I ended up giving the rest of the packages away and bought the Pampers again, so it didn't save us any money at all.

Another parent with bad luck with Luvs here. The savings is only a dollar or two, so I never could justify it. Especially if we had the $1.50 coupon for Pampers. It would make them about the same price. You'll find more savings getting the largest boxes that are practical for you/your child.

I have never had a problem with DD wearing Luvs. She is 9 months and honestly has never had a leak even over night and she sleeps atleast 10 -12 hours per night. I agree with another poster that they do have a strong smell. It just reminds me of baby powder. We buy a case of Luvs at BJ's for about 10 bucks cheaper then pampers and huggies. Sometimes more if I get coupons.

As far as fit is concerned I feel they fit about the same as Pampers. Althought they are not as stretchy. DD wears a 3 in Pampers and Luvs and a 4 in Huggies. I find Huggies to run rather small.

I would recommend trying them and see how they work for you.

We usually use Pampers Cruisers. Every now and then, I will look at the price difference and buy LUVS...and then regret it! They always, always leak for us....and I end up sending them to daycare just to get rid of them!

I have used Luvs for all three kids and never had a problem with leaks. They are very similar in size to the Pampers Baby Dry. They fit larger than Huggies do. The have a scent but I like it so I don't mind. Good luck!

Luvs are made by Pampers... they are a lil smaller than pampers but over all just about the same thing..

Another canadian here. Have you tried Teddy's Choice diapers? My mommy friends and I all had good experiences with them (However I have been finished with diapers for two years now Yeah!).

I like the Target brand diapers too. They worked better for me than Luvs.

I've had good luck with the Target brand too. I hate Luvs and Pampers Baby Dry...they have no stretch in the tabs like Pampers Cruisers and Huggies! I am really liking Huggies the best right now especially b/c of the Disney characters on them! :goodvibes I also don't care for the way Pampers Cruisers feel so squishy/slimy/huge when they are wet. Huggies just seem more dry - even when wet.

I ended up giving away the small pkg. of Luv's that I bought to try b/c I hated them so much. I had a friend who liked them, and I was happy to get rid of them!

Never really cared for Luvs. We tried them in the very early stages and found that they didn't fit very well. We used Pampers Cruisers um until he potty trained a few weeks ago.

I am not extremely picky about diapers...DS will wear just about anything successfully, so we rotate whatever is on sale, or whatever store brand I have shopped at recently. I did find that with our recent Luv's pack it was unusually leaky. I often find that as our DS grows, different brands do well, then not so well, so I am just not tied to any particular brand. If you are looking for large, I find that Safeway (or Dominick's by me) grocery store brand are really nice and big. They are not as stretchy as the premium brands, but DS seems not to care at all. They are the ones with Snoopy on the front. FYI. This is what I tend to buy when we go to WDW and go to the Safeway grocery store. I was really happy with them.

I just tried luvs and I think they are a little on the small size. I bought the size 3 that should be up to 28lbs and they barely fit my daughter and she is right around the 22-23 pound mark. There isn't alot of give.

Just bought some Luvs today. I'm not a big fan but with the coupons at Target I paid around $2 a pack so I figured I could use anything for that price! Anyway, DS is almost 4 months and I typically use the size 3 Pampers Cruisers (my favorites by far) the Luvs run small. I bought size 4 luvs thinking I would be putting them up for later. Nope, he has to wear them now or they won't fit. They are the same width as the size 3 cruisers but are longer by a little bit, which isn't a bad thing with a little boy!:rotfl2:

I use huggies supreme because I have an unusually large baby..Luvs have no stretch and they leak on her... I used them fine on ds though, but he was average sized, so stretch wasnt an issue. It depends on your baby, if your baby is chunky, then I would go for something else, but if you baby isnt, then give them a go!
