Diaper Genie @ the WDW Resorts

Hey all,
I have read that Disney will provide a Diaper Genie for Cruiseline guests but will they provide them for resort guests as well? Being DVC members we do not recieve mousekeeping daily so I was curious since we will be traveling to the world w/ an infant in 2010 several times.

I've never seen a diaper genie at WDW resorts. I always bring a package of scented diaper disposal bags. They work great. We're also DVC members, so no daily housekeeping, and we never had an issue with odor. However, if we know that we'll be passing the trash room on our way out of the room, we bring the scented bag 'o diaper with us and toss it in the trash room.

Whenever we bought something I would keep the bag and leave it inthe room. Every time someone left the room we would just send the bag with them to throw out.

I used a diaper genie for a little while with my son, but I don't think I did with my daughter. Once the diapers get beyond newborn, they can be tricky to fit in I think (been a while!).

I'd just get a couple packs of scented small garbage bags, and use them. Also bring a pack of regular kitchen trash bags. Then every time you're leaving the room, take out the trash. You will be fine. I'd bring my own kitchen trash bags, since I don't like the thin ones that they usually provide.

If you have a "dollar tree" store near you, they sell a little box of 100 scented diaper-disposal bags. (For a dollar... everything there is a dollar.) They work great. Just tie each diaper up before placing in the trash can... any super-strong diapers can be double-bagged, taken with you to an appropriate trash can or placed outside (if you have a balcony) until the day housekeeping comes.
