Diaper bags and DL

So, we have no need for a diaper bag . THis is the first trip for me since 2002 with no diaper bag!!

I will still be bringing a back pack with water, clean clothes for the little one, and sweatshirts for all, more than likely in a locker, but maybe in our free stoller (not bringing mine this time so I can buy more stuff and have room for it!!) So where do you pack everything? 1 large backpack? or what??

After we finally got rid of our diaper bag, we put everything we would need throughout the day such as hand wipes, snacks, water bottles, etc. in a medium sized back pack. Everything else like sweatshirts went into a locker to get when it got dark.

I will just give you my opinion from what we did before we had kids. We could not fit everything for our family into one backpack, so we carried our night time stuff and extra bottles of water into the park and got a big locker. Then we kept our snacks, camera, water, etc. in a medium Jansport backpack and took turns carrying it. While someone saved parade seats, one would go back and grab all the locker stuff. It works great every time.

Funny you mention this, because after 1.5 yrs of no diaper bag, I actually bought one for DLR. I didn't want to have something on my back all day so I bought a $20 bag from Wal-Mart. I made sure it had those special clips that allow you to attach it to the stroller. I ended up liking it so much I'm still using it at a purse 8 mos later. Most people don't realize it's a diaper bag either.
